It'd be interesting if there were in game rewards. Some computer terminal that unlocks a goodie room for a high score. Its always nice to have extra incentive to try minigames.

All the time actually. Sometimes it gets really boring at work and I fire up the Pipboy app to play the games.

In-game, Wednesday night at the Red Rocket is "Leave the boss the F alone" night, where the Sole Survivor puts on a bathrobe, locks himself in his personal man cave and plays video games and gets drunk on scotch.

I got that same bathrobe lmao my dude struts around his Home Plate house looking at all the stuff he's found in the 236 days he's been unthawed and in the Commonwealth and wishing there was some CARPET!

No scotch for my guy though....he plays his holotape games and polishes https://s8.postimg.org/olgb0qsd1/image.jpg <- Daddy Sledge :D

I've never played any of the holotape games because my interest isn't there. It would be cool however, if there were arcade machine forms of these games (not a terminal) that could be built in our settlements. I'd love to build a game room and see my settlers occupying the machines and getting really into the joystick and button mashing. They could even incorporate high scores (provisioner high score 3000, etc.) I know they would be out of place, but just a thought.

^^ Would be extra cool if we could get the gambling equipment (tables, slots, etc) from Fallout New Vegas as a DLC workshop expansion!

©2072 Planned Diversion Programming ? Really Bethesda?

How about ©2072 Programming Your Mind To Be Diverted From Real World Issues Incorporated.

That get's the point across a little better I think ;)

What I really want is the ability to craft the normal square looking terminals for playing my games. Set up an office of sorts, or a game room for people to wind down after a long day of work. The terminals we can currently build are cool and all, but not that great for playing games on.

As far as the Automaton Holotape game goes, some people on the fallout subreddit are suggesting Robotron as the game it imitates.

Forgot all about Robotron. Haven't seen it referenced in years. But it's too perfect in both name and theme for it to be anything else.

I've been trying to be more expressive with my current character so I think I might take some time off to play pip-boy games. Can't wait for the automatron dlc and now pip-boy game.

There is actually a mod for that on the Nexus right now.

@He-Who-Remains

Wow, going to look that up right now.

I didn't think about that. That would very cool as well, but the chances are very, very slim unfortunately. Perhaps there's a mod for that too.

For some reason I can't help but think "Planned Diversion" is intentionally meant to rhyme with "Activision".

I think the game is going to be a copy of Robotron. Which will be pretty great. I don't play most of the Pipboy games, but Grognak & the Ruby Ruins is the best one.

Yeah, if you've paired your phone to your game, you can play the Pip-Boy games after you disconnect. The only different thing is they add a screen telling you the touch controls before the games actually start. Though, I'm not sure if Gragnok saves carry over. Never tested it.

I work in a group home, and there are nights where everyone's conked out on their meds and asleep, and I got two hours to kill before the end of my shift, so I fire up Grognak or Red Menace. Wifi is down at the office, so really, it's either that or reading Thieves World.

Robotron would be cool, but I'm thinking it would be more like Berserk. Robotron seems too "modern" and has too many colors to be a pipboy game.

I want a robot that says "Intruder alert. intruder alert". "Kill the humanoid".

Heck yeah man! Its REALLY fun! Like legit when I'm on lunch or anything like that...I kick back and try to advance in Red Menace lol

So far I've only made it to stage 2 of 175m, but I'll max the game out one day I hope to see how far you can go lol
