If AutoMatron is our ideal $10 DLC I'm nervous....

That Star Wars Battlefront DLC is just terrible. DLC like that and COD is reasons why DLC's standards have been going down.

Okay, stand still as I can't afford to miss.

OT: Yea, I didn't want to build robots in F4, so I didn't buy the DLC. Different folks will enjoy it for different reasons, ya know?

Or great movies or tv series too. One Youtuber had to put a disclaimer saying "I'm not hating on Fallout", and he got flamed to high-heaven for saying something he didn't like about Fallout 4 anyway. That kind of stuff happens all the time, even in this very thread -- one cannot even have an open debate without someone either saying, "Here comes the Obsidian Squad" or on the other end, "Here comes the Bethstapo." Maybe I really just don't like fans, but it's something you have to deal with no matter where you go.

Yeah they had a hype machine behind them. Destiny sells are pretty good as to but a lot of people don't think it's that good. Sells don't mean a game is good but they generated enough hype and in the cases of sequels it speaks to how well the previous game was(in most cases).

Not saying FO4 is bad by the way.

What does Star Wars have to do with this? We're talking about Fallout 4 and Bethesda don't move the goalpost.

Comparison my friend.

Automatron provides way more content than the upcoming Battlefront dlc for a mere fraction of the cost. I'd say we're pretty lucky with or price tag.

Weren't you supporting the earlier Witcher comparison?

Sales figure by itself don't mean all that, true.

I'm sure GTA5 still probably signficantly outsells FO4 in game copies, and will by a significant margin when its all said and done

But just wondering, if you're an investor, who do you buy or invest in if you had the choice and the chance, Bethesda or Rockstar? I am certain many investors will feel Bethesda (with FO4) will be the much more risk free investment, and thus the more attractive buy.

I think Fallout NV and Fallout 3 are fair because they are part of the Fallout series and are RPGs

I wasn't supporting it. I just pointed out the setting of a game doesn't matter when it comes to comparisons. Also at the very least Witcher is a RPG. Star Wars is a shooter and I agree most dlc for shooters is trash.

Tell us the ideal price for Automatron based on yourself and what game DLC you're comparing with to come up with that ideal.

Comparing it to all the Fallout DLCs it really doesn't hold up to them. $5 for it is reasonable. Just like the Waste Land Workshop.

Depends on how far back you go. They weren't $60 when I first started buying them.

How far you going back? You got to take into account the value of a dollar back then as well.

Tell us more specifically about older Fallout DLC or list the added content offered in said DLC that makes Automatron should be at $5 instead of $10.

I think the ideal price is $5 but I'm not into the robot building part of the DLC so pretty much 95% of the DLC( even though part of me want to make Codsworth a nice robot butler of death.)

The again I beat it with a character don't don't do any crafting(my Sliver Shroud character). Maybe if I do it with my MM General(that does a lot of crafting) my opinion might change.

When I actually cared about games prices as a kid/teen they was $50. Maybe in the Snes or PS1 era they was $40 but I wouldn't know because I didn't care(my parent brought my games)

3 quests, few guns, and the ability to customize robots.

Not much there.

OK. I think we need to step back and objectively look at this.

Is $10 Automatron >= 2 $5 Horse armors?

I would say yes. I would say oh Hell Yes!
