Automatron Trailer is up

Post » Fri Mar 18, 2016 12:53 am

Also, there's a post about it on Bethesda.net that includes some hi-quality screens from the trailer, and just a liiittle more info, https://bethesda.net/#en/events/game/fallout-4-automatron-trailer-released/2016/03/14/88.

Question.

Will the Automatron DLC actually expand the map for Fallout 4? Or let you go in something like a dream or a Virtual Reality (VR) world like in Fallout 3?

If the Automatron DLC is like that I will consider calling it a expansion pack instead.

In the description box it says the dlc is coming out on march 22nd

One theory I've heard is that because WW is going to be short they are releasing Automaton and survival mod near it so everyone will be busy until far harbour comes out.

I reckon the DLC will add some more exportable buildings to map but I doubt will be going to VR at any more..

judging from the trailer we have to build the robot assembly workshop at one of our settlements

I wouldn't bank on it expanding the map, and VR seems like a stretch, but there's at least one new location. And Bethesda's never really expanded the main map borders with DLC, only added new locations within it or a new landmass we visit separately (Bloodmoon technically expanded the base map, but it was still all a completely separate island).

It does look great. I'm a bit interested in the part where it seems like you're in FPS mode from the point of view of a robot. Or maybe its a weapon made from a mr hand's saw?

I'm not sure if you got confused when I said Virtual Reality (VR).

When I said Virtual Reality (VR) I didn't mean using Virtual Reality (VR) headsets I mean going into a Virtual Reality (VR) world like you did in that one quest in Fallout 3.

Or am I reading your comment wrong?

You know my SS is level 196, but Assultrons can still kill me easily with their optic blast. lol

I mean.. my character can survive 2 clean mini-nuke explosion... but she cannot survive 2 clean optic blast. Don`t let your guard down.

I'm a bit higher leveled than you, but yeah Assaultrons are harder to kill even when compared Sentry Bots. Especially the ones that use Stealth boys.

Ha. I work hard with assaultrons to run round cover,

as I find that once their blast starts building, they can't help but (if you'll forgive the expression) to blow their load,

and then I'll pop out and Gauss them B)

Who's to say there wasn't one, you just weren't invited.

(nor me... :nope: )

I understood you, there just doesn't seem to be anything in the trailer that would imply we hop into a VR pod at any point in the questline. I mean, I guess anything's possible, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Probably already happening. :T I guess we didn't get the invite.

What are you talking about? Even using a non legendary gun, if I max mod a laser pistol and do half or a full mag dump with max gunslinger, and on jet, I can easily destroy assaulttrons. Or do you not play using chems?

Naw, not unless they really backtracked on what the devs said. They mentioned invites would be announced when emails go out. (multiple times on twitter)

It'd even make sense for them to do it, so folks don't mistake an invite for spam. Darn you aggressive spam filters!

Imagine if Bethesda Game Studios lets the Player Characters (PC's) in the Automatron DLC in Fallout 4 go into a Virtual Reality (VR) world and do something like in The Lawnmower Man movie.

Have you ever seen the Lawnmower Man movie?

I can easily kill anything with my two-shot Gauss Rifle or Explosive Minigun, but in every fire fight involving Assaultrons, I try to kill them first. Dominators with their stealth capabilities are annoying to deal with and I don't want to have to repair my Power Armor all the time.

And no, I don't use chems. Chems are bad, m'kay?

Looks more fun than I was expecting. Cool beans. I really don't want to start my new character until the survival overhaul hits, though, and I won't want to waste any of the DLC with my current powerful high level character. :(

By the way, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8TT46jgD17U is the PEGI version of the trailer that you can watch without the login.
