"Auxiliary: The RP" OOCSignupInterest Thread

What's convenient too about those those three characters, is that they are all part of the three best warrior races in Tamriel. Which would make sense why they are the three troublemakers of the 1st Auxiliary, lol.

I actually like the thought of that. I also like Tom's idea. Though I'm Not sure how Gulag would stand out to Targon in terms of ( lack of) discipline. Since I imagine much of the other orcs would have similar problems as Gulag. (Many of them came from Strongholds, which do not enforce discipline the way the legion likes it.) I would guess that maybe Targon sees something in Gulag (as well as Aki and Torby) other than their reckless insubordination? (Either that or Targon's bodyguard units will also be NPCs along with all of us.)

My post is up!

Growing up in a smaller city like Windhelm (and with Einar working on the docks) it makes sense for the two to at least know each other. I feel like my character was probably picked on by your character and his buddies, could be an interesting dynamic, let me know if you want to go anywhere with it.

Whenever Lebiro and Archangel can put together their post. Once they can, I'll do a time skip forward to the evening.

Nah, not at all. He can be wherever you'd like him to be. For purpose of the timeskip, where they are at the start is largely irrelevent, as they'll all end up at the same place, so don't worry about thinking of a logical place for him to be.

EDIT: Was going to put a post up today, but I think I'll wait for the timeskip. In the meantime, I've been working on what's actually going to happen further down the track of the RP. Which leads me to a thought that I'd like to get some input on.

In my mind, there are two main fronts in the Cyrodiilic theatre of war that the Legion is fighting on; Colovia and Nibenay. The Colovian front is the most hotly contested in terms of skirmishing, pitched battles, guerrilla warfare, not a whole lot of siege warfare (except major cities or in part of the West Weald). It is essentially a very fluid, with the border changing depending on how far armies advance or retreat. The Nibenay on the other hand is more about holding fortifications, ambushing approaching forces and recon. It's far more static, the front depending on who holds what fortresses where.

In my mind, with their multi-skill training (especially as cavalry), it'd make more sense for the First Auxiliary to be deployed in Colovia (and hence have the majority of the RP occur there), but I wanted to get your thoughts on the matter.

Yeah I don't mind our characters being deployed into Colovia, but the only thing I don't like about the terrain is there isn't a lot of trees or dense brush for that matter for more guerilla tactics. Aside from that though, the ebb and tide of the Colovian front would be a better fir for our characters though.

Ah, so the noble fir is no longer considered a tree, eh? Just because it's leaves don't go gold in the fall doesn't mean it's some type of large, misshapen lawn gnome.

You're still a tree to me, fir! I believe in you.

P.S. Then we'll have to use gorilla tactics instead*.

/unfunnyrambling

*seriously, though, if we're in Colovia can we fight some Imga shock troops? Possibly riding Senche tigers. Monkeys engaged in cat-back archery sounds hilarious/terrifying.

Haha lol. I must've had some typos in my post. I mean't to write "fit" instead of fir. My bad guys.

I know, and I would've gotten a response up sooner but I'm being forced to kill off my first character and... not fun time. Didn't want to make Jasava do something OOC like punch Torby in the face. Post should come soon...

I think going to Colovia would be more suited to our skillsets as well.

Though while the majority of the RP should be in Colovia as you said, I do think we should be present in Nibenay at some point just so we can experience how different tactics are in tge respective regions. Hell, imagine us fighting in the Imperial City?

And say we reached the end of the war in Cyrodiil, but we still want to continue this, we could even fight the war in Hammerfell. That will be a while before that happens but just a suggestion

I think we should definitely be involved in both battles for the Imperial City but starting off in the Colovian highlands would make a lot of sense for calvary units, compared to the siege warfare of the Niben bay area.
