It might be harder to avoid spoilers for Fallout 4 than most games,
particularly as any plot surprises may take very variable play times to reach.
Are you going on a full blackout and how long to expect you can keep that up?

I am. I'll be too tempted to check out Fallout 4's TV Tropes page if I don't.
I'd say about 3-4 days. Maybe more depending on how far I get.
Oh I'll still be hitting the boards, because I'm eagerly awaiting with popcorn at the ready for the "They ruined Fallout" threads. Those always happen with Bethesda games nowadays.
What if they end up being well-written constructive posts?
Google has taught me some painful lessons over the years. Most recently, I googled "Witcher 3" to see when the expansions are coming out, and instead of the basic information I was looking for, the top results are all "Here's what happens in the expansions!" Screw you, Google. Message boards are dangerous too, you always get the idiot who posts a topic titled "Question on the final boss fight against your weredeathclaw son" And you have to avoid anything that posts memes, since you KNOW that you'll run into spoilers even if Fallout is off-topic. Not even counting the sad, sad people who will actively TRY to spoil it for everyone else...
I might just have to ignore the internet as a whole for several months. I won't miss it that much.
They never are. But they are very entertaining to read, because you can smell the foam and enough rage to run New Vegas with the power of a Platinum Chip.
It's worth it to come back.
"Well...the wife and kids weren't a simulated dream...THIS svckS!"
I spend My Breaktime at work here, I know Everyone will use the Cheats, Hints, and Spoilers section when discussing Fallout 4 Gameplay I will avoid the Fallout 4 Forums like a plague until I have at least 40 Hours of playtime on November 17.
Same way I didn't get any spoilers for MGSV, don't Google "Fallout 4" or the like.
*rolls eyes*
Probably actively avoid anything about fallout for a month or so. Although I lack willpower and most of my plans never come to fruition.
Fallout 4 is big news,
I couldn't even guarantee the game sites will succeed in correctly holding back spoilers in their reviews...
About a week or so before release I'll start avoiding forums and video game related sites.
It will be tough since that's where I spend the majority of my time on the internet.
I'll probably try to find a game to keep my occupied. But I know the whole time I'm playing I'll be wishing I was playing Fallout 4 instead.
I gobbled up every piece of information I could for Skyrim and I imagine I'll do the same for FO4.
Nope, don't care. The only thing that's ever really been spoiled is the beginning of the game. .. there's still a whole bunch of game to play after the beginning.
Why worry as the new forums will roll out and there will be a spoiler section for people to go there if they want to. The General Discussion Forum should be pretty free of that stuff..
Ehhh I've never been one to be all " OMG I JUST GOT SPOILED!!! DAMN YOUUUU".
It's gonna be tough for me since I'm on here all day at work. Insanely boring job = lots of internet browsing time. I guess I'll have to find something else to spend my time with when I'm working haha
I forgot how the internet works.
But come on, there are a few exceptions.
Also, I actually want the wife and kid to be a simulated dream, don't think it will ruin anything though. We'll have to see.
What are you talking about? What spoilers? They revealed almost none of the game's areas, characters, non of the quests except the 1st one, get to the vault, very little about game's combat and leveling system's.
I did not see that little information about any AAA game, including Bethesda's games.
And it pisses me off, i do understand they did several marketing anolyses and what not and are feeling pretty secure about revealing so little staff, but i still think that is a risk.
Or maybe they are doing it because of that kotaku leak.
I'll mostly likely be on the forums after release. But make sure you read the title's carefully!
I am already avoiding any speculation threads on plotline just in case any of them are actually hitting the nail on the head.
I want to walk in without any preconceptions.
I'll probly be out of the forums unless I have an issue.
Fallout 4 may be big news to us, but in the grand spectrum of things, it won't really be that hard to avoid Fallout news.
I'm staying off the boards for a few weeks probably, and then just not Googling anything Fallout. Other than that, I don't really expect anything unwanted to pop up anywhere.
After release there should be a Spoilers section added so it should be easy to avoid spoilers. Mods are pretty good at keeping those cleaned up.
If there are, I've never read them, and I'm an incredibly harsh critic with critics.
