So how's the full game? Because I didn't really like the demo, The gameplay was alright but I really don't think Deathmatch is the mode for a game like AVP, So I still dunno if I didn't really like it overall or just because Deathmatch is crap :embarrass:

Deathmatch really was an awful choice. Heck, even TDM (species deathmatch, as it's called here) would have been a major improvement. I mean, what were they thinking? "Hey, this game is called Aliens vs Predator - let's make the MP only demo about Aliens killing Aliens and Predators killing Predators! That's quite a good representation of it!" ^_^

I found myself playing Infestation and Predator Hunt the most since they're very fun to play, and I've finished the Marine campaign. As of now, I think it's closer to AvP2 in quality than to the mediocre AvP Classic.

I have to admit: Infestation is the most fun multiplayer mode I've seen in any new game for some years. ^_^

It's pretty fun, I just wish there was a way to make it last longer, i.e. the last man standing has a minigun and double health or something. :lol:

I wish the campaigns were longer. Yeah there were around 18 total missions, but there were only 6 maps in the campaign. I also wish, as a Marine, you had more allies......

iv'e clocked all three of the campaigns and its great, same with the multiplayer but the only really bad thing is the matchmaking it takes so long to get into a ranked match

Went through all the campaigns on easy. Should have done normal as easy was, well, easy. Still it was very fun. I tried some multiplayer games and got up to rank 5. My favorite moment was in a team deathmatch. We were playing in that pyramid map and I was an alien. I hid out next to a wall and waited for it to move but before it did a marine came up and camped out on the other side. In classic alien fashion the wall came down exposing me to the marine allowing me to get an awesome trophy kill.

Pyramid is a great map for infestation when people don't camp the staircase area.

Me and 4 other remaining marines became trapped in a corridor. After a bit of brainstorming we went back to back, 3 facing one way, 2 facing the other way. The walls came down and the 7 aliens came charging in, slaughtering everyone except me (I've got The Rookie's luck). By now there was 1 alien left and I went hand to hand with the slippery bugger. Eventually I gave in and blew his head off, in turn killing me from his acid blood

Got the game this morning and played a couple of Predator missions and a game of species deathmatch. As I expected, the game is much more fun with teams. Me and another Marine kicked some ass.

I was just told you block but only if they are in front of you...behind=dead

Yeah, I don't think you can get out of stealth kills, but you can definitely get out of trophy kills. Aliens get out of them all the time when I try to do them, and I've heard Marines can too, but I haven't seen it before.

Anyone fancy a couple of games? I'm going to head on now for a bit, Steam ID is in my signature if anyone wants to join me.

I'm hoping this gives Sega the incentive to go ahead and continue funding/publishing Gearbox's Aliens: Colonial Marines.
