Depends. There's mixed species team deathmatch & species deathmatch.

Mixed Species is exactly what it says - 9 v 9 carnage.

Species Deathmatch - 4 Predators v 7 Aliens v 7 Marines (I think)

The Alien is the one that I can't get used to. It's fun to play as now and again, but unlike the other two, I often feel weak as the Alien. The lack of range is a bit annoying, and the Alien's heavy attack doesn't seem as good as the Predator's.

I just had three good games today. Played a 1v1 as the Marine against a Predator and beat him 5-1, then played as a Marine against 1 Predator and 1 Alien and beat them too (although the Predator left about half way in). Finished up with a good game as the Predator, beating another Predator (who also left half way through) and an Alien. I've won lots of games now as the Marine and Predator, but still haven't even come close as an Alien. I can't get any good killstreaks as an Alien.



I think it's supposed to be 4 Predators, 6 Aliens and 8 Marines. Not entirely sure on that though.

GameInformer's review of this game was pretty bad. Apparently, the reviewer doesn't like the Predator being stealthy, the flashlight being dark, the Alien being fast and wallcrawling, the motion tracker being loud, and only played Deathmatch. I guess he hates the first 2 games he praised earlier in his review because THEY HAD THE SAME EXACT THINGS IN THEM.

So it sounds like the demo is MP only?

Which does not make sense. The flashlight cannot be very bright (ruins the point of darkness), Predators have to be stealthy (a Predator not being stealthy is like an alien being all white), and the motion tracker is supposed to be loud.

The reviewer has probably never seen any Predator or Alien movies.

It's getting close. So which campaign is everyone going to start with? I'm thinking I'll do predator first, then alien, then the marines.

You really should. In my opinion, and I must state this ever-so humbly, Aliens is the best movie ever. Ever.
Actually watching the movies should be a higher priority than playing the games, and not understanding anything.

I`m going to play the marine campaign first, then play some MP with him. The other two species especially the Alien kinda feels like a fighter game, which is why I`m not to fond of them.

I've watched every Aliens movie. It's just that was some years ago so I forgot the names.

Alien, then Predator, then Marines.

Probably the Predator (because he's badass) and then the Marine (because it's like being in Aliens), then the Alien last as it's my least favourite of the three in the demo so far.



I wouldn't say it's the best ever, but it's definitely in my top ten. I love that movie.

Predator, Alien and Marine. IGN's reviews was pretty spot on IMO (at least, from the description of how it feels to control each species). The first game in a loooooooooong time where I'll hopefully be playing multiplayer with you guys.

I think I'm going to play the Alien campaign first, then the Predator campaign, and then the Marine. I enjoy the each species gameplay, so instead of really trying to decide I'll just play them in the order I did with the first two games.

Ok, just checking. Cuz if you didn't see at least 1 & 2, I would have been doing you a favor by peer pressuring you into seeing them. :hehe:

No, Aliens is a good movie. Best Alien movie.

There is an Android in the first and second movie. It was the crazy model in the first one that made Ripley distrust Androids so much. Bishop in the second one redeemed them in her eyes ever so slightly. She ended up being... friends I guess with him.

Also overall how are reviews looking for this game?
