Hi

Collected the Crimson Nirnroot and then went back to this woman. Problem is that I couldn't speak to her and she challenged me, asked me to leave etc. I was then confronted by a guard and agreed to pay over gold etc. Unfortunately the game then froze and I had to restart. Second time around she wasn't so hostile and there was no guard. However, there was still no prompt for me to tell her that I had the root for her. I became so frustrated that I dropped the root!

I realise that I will now have to collect all over again but is this some sort of glitch that other people have experienced?

Should I have put the root in a chest in her house?

I didn't break in so don't know wht I was challenged by her and then guard etc?

You can't just break into someone's house to give them something. You have to visit her during the day, when she's out tending to her garden.
