Cheydinhal-An organization for the diaspora of Dark Elves
has been founded in Cheydinhal. Called the Association for Velothi
Solidarity, or AVS, it is an alliance of representatives of the
remaining Dark Elven populations scattered across the Empire, those
in refugee camps on Solstheim Island, and others. Ahaz Ruvini, claiming
to represent bands of Redoran still in upper reaches of the Velothi
Mountains, was named "Hortator", what they call a nominal leadership
position within the association.
When questioned, Ruvini explained that the association has been formed
to defend "the people of Veloth" from extinction, to preserve their
cultural practices, teach the succeeding generations "proper religion",
and seek eventual resettlement within "the land of Veloth".
A former county clerk of high rank, who is now known as Asher Dan
Zerushalmi, is joining Ruvini on a trip to the palace, where they hope to
have an audience with the Emperor and gain his support. There has
been no official recognition of the group by the Emperor and no
statement has been issued as to whether he has agreed to meet with
them.
