I have a serious doubt that destruction physics will be in Skyrim. Cloth physics have more of a chance, but I'm doubtful as well.

What we know for sure that's in from Havok are basic physics (basically what has been used since Oblivion on all Bethesda games, but better) and Havok Behavior (for better animations, kind of like Euphoria).

Something I noticed from this list of the games with various Havok licenses:

http://www.havok.com/index.php?page=available-games

There are numerous games listed as having licenses for Havok Physics only, or Havok Animation only, or both Havok Physics and Havok Animation, but every single game listed that has a license for Havok Behavior also has licenses for Havok Animation and Havok Physics.

Some trailers for the games listed as having Havok Behavior and Havok Animation:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lpBu9DUuAyw&hd=1

If it has something to do with the way Havok Behavior is licensed, perhaps Skyrim is more likely to also incorporate Havok Animation. Of course, it will incorporate Havok Physics, which is necessary for Havok Behavior and was part of Oblivion.

It seems unlikely that Skyrim will incorporate Havok Destruction, however, as the only game on the list employing Havok Destruction is a The Shoot, a PS3 Move game that has deformable terrain.

Also the only game with Havok Cloth is a basketball game IIRC, so it also seems unlikely.

There is no reason to believe we will have any of this besides Havok Behavior.

I'm a little worried...is there a reason only poor games have used Behavior so far?

If you look closely at the GI screens, you can see that static models are still being used for cloth. Of course it's possible they will implement Havok Cloth as a PC exclusive feature, but I highly doubt that.

Would it be possible to mod it in if it already uses Havok?

Too bad Project Offset was cancelled. But the most impresvie one was the dancing woman with the dress. Itd be badass if you could have that in skyrim. not the dress lol, but the cloth technology! ^^

It is possible but I wouldn't count on it. I remember a mod for Oblivion that added realistic physics for tapestries on walls. However, adding the same to all the cloaks, robes and various types of armor with cloth parts would be much harder. And I don't even mention the inevitable clipping issues.

Actually, it seems to move together with the leg "bone", just like in Oblivion.

I've looked at the videos but I don't really see differences compared to Oblivion other than the cloth physics...

It's very new technology. Only a handful of games use it, most of which aren't major games. Skyrim will be the first major blockbuster title to use it.

It's the same case with Euphoria as well. It wasn't known all that well until a game by the name of GTA IV showcased the hell out of it.
