Awesome job!

I started a quest that led me into a dwemer ruin, and I just have to say that it was the best dungeon I have ever been through. Even though I dislike the dwarven art (I think the armor looks dumb), the dungeon itself was awesome. Very spacious, with several branches that didn't cause me to lose my way. The enemies are so cool. A technologically advanced culture leaving ruins with traps and automatons is one of the most interesting things I've come across so far.

By far was my favorite part was when near the end, there was a dwarven centurion. It was just waiting for me at the end of a hallway and when it started lumbering towards me I was in awe. I really hope someone makes a mod that lets you get a dwarven centurion as a companion. It would be some sorta assembly quest, and it would probably have to be smaller but faster. It wouldn't take weapons, but you could improve it by letting it "eat" dwarven pieces that improve it's stats (maybe even appearance?). Just thinking about it makes me excited. I would really like to replace lydia at the least (her tone about "carrying my burdens" is so annoying).

I loved it. Best part of the entire game for me. It's so mysterious and eerie, yet intriguing. The first time I entered one, you hear gears and engines pumping. The first one I entered was the quest for the Rubicon where,

Spoiler
There are ghosts of the people died.

This all added to the mystery and the unknown. What makes it even cooler is the notion that its sooo old in the ES universe. Future ES games need to unveil more about the Dwemers.

Right! Where the tower of Mzark is. And that beautiful giant lantern over one building. The Falmer add to atmosphere too.

I really like that idea--the quest part would make it even more interesting.

I would be quite happy if one of the sequels focuses around Dwemer disappearance. Or even be put at that time.

Mine too. Both scary and beautiful. And I love to see that some of the machinery is still working.

Much better than Ayleid ruins, definetly. The Dwemer automatons that you don't encounter anyhwere else add to their uniqueness. Ancient ruins built with still working technology that no one in the world understands. What's not to love? ^_^

I've already said this, but they really remind me of the ruins in planet Bryoo in Metroid Prime 3 :hehe:

Yeah, the dwemer cities are pretty cool. Lots of vast open caverns, and wonderful disparity ebtween the falmer and the mechanic installations. I think they keep some of the actually good stuff from the Ayleid ruins - a standout design, decent layouts, and very different visual palette from the caves / surface.

Such a total shame that there are so few of these ruins in Skyrim, imo the number could easily have been increased... Especially since the draugr burial mounds are so frequent.
