Awesome Sniping Experience

So, my NCR character, with her Marksman Rifle, got orders from Col. Moore to turn or get rid of the Khans. Remembering that the Khans were responsible for supplying drugs for the Fiends, on whom many of her bullets were wasted, not a thought of diplomacy entered her mind.

She and Arcade creep up to Red Rock Canyon on the left side, sticking to high vantage points to snipe from.

1st catch of the day. Right down the middle of the canyon, perfect target. She aimed, fired, and fired again multiple times, until the Khans head flew off his body from the force of the .223 round.

Moving up. They reach cliffs overlooking a training ground of sorts, across from many tents. First target is some foolish kid at the entrance to the training ground. Tango down. 4 more enemies patrol the other side of the canyon. Each died after several consecutive shots to the leg, head, and torso.

After clearing out this camp of loot, she took position on the other side of the Canyon. "Damn." she thought, "More?" and there were indeed more, coming from the same direction. The shots must have woken them. They died quickly and painlessly with headshots.

Moving up into the main camp and command post of the Khans, a sleeping Khan was caught off guard when a .308 was sent through his cranium.

Finally, Papa Khan's home.

Casually strolling in, these stupid Khans must've not heard the shots just outside their own encampment. After launching 3 40mm's at their leader, she pulled out her M1 Garand (This Machine), loaded some Hollow-points, and killed all the remaining Khans. Funnily enough, Papa Khan was the last to fall. He begged for mercy as he limped away, his head ringing from the bullets lodged in it. As she put the barrel to his head, he shed a single tear. His head was gone within a moment.

it was freakin awesome. I stealthily sniped every Khan but the ones I couldnt in Papa's house. I wish I had a video, it was amazingly awesome.

I loved doing that with my sniper character.
That was a lot of fun.

Sniping is handled excellently in this game. Then you meet a Deathclaw who you can't kill with one shot and he mows you down... Other then that its pretty freaking sweet sniping alongside Boone or another ally!

My favorite was sniping everyone in Nelson (edit:oops I meant the cove, I'm terrible with place names), where they all ran around like chickens because they couldn't see/tell where I was. Boone was with me but I was so far away he just sat on his haunches doing nothing. heh

Sounds like a great moment, gotta love it when that happens!

Semi-related:

Just assaulted Black Mountain for BoS today. After being flamed to death by like 7 guys after a head-on assault, I tried a back way I found. it ended up pretty cool from lots of standpoints:

-the other mutants were too slow, and by the time they reacted to the gunshots, tabitha was long dead
-I snuck up behind this whole giant fortress of mutants, only fighting 3 nightkin and some centaurs
-just total awesomeness

I love how this game gives you not only alot more content, but more options of how to complete things and multiple paths for everything.

Cottonwood Cove was the first awesome sniping for me.

Just below the sniper's nest, I've got perfect vantage point I could see everyone walking around the area.
I just had to wait for perfect time to strike.
7 hours past, Boone spotted activities down there (yes, that spotter perk works best in the night), for some reason, all legionnaires came out of their buildings.
And that's the perfect time.
First I picked the man with decorated armor , squeezed the trigger, *puff* , head exploded.

And again, and again...

Five minutes later, only 3 hostages left. And all the legionnaires were lying around, headless.
Poor bastards, they never know what hit them. I later knows the first kill in this camp is Aurelius of Phoenix, he's CO who responsible for CL activities in this region and he's cannibal.

Serve him right.

And the other one is CL raid at Bitterspring, fighting along side Boone was awesome experience too.

Same here, their mates got sniped, they run towards to their body and ended up laying with their dead mates (by my bullets). Repeat and you clean out that area pretty unnoticed.

I was doing the Volare! quest and heading to Lake Mead to find the B-29, and I just got a brand new, fully repaired Sniper Rifle and a silencer. During my walk I noticed some Deathclaws, sp I sneakily sniped them and started walking normally, unaware that Gypsum Train Yard is filled with the damn creatures. After one started chasing me, I quickly used a Stealth Boy, got to a safe distance, and shot him in the end. From there, I went and killed every Deathclaw there (normal, young and blind). I'm not kidding when I say that there were around 20 of them. Still, it was awesome, and I felt such a badass afterwards.
