I prefer speed over power, even with my most heavily armed and armored characters. So swords for me.

I occasionally use axes with some characters, though.

Lol, to be fair axes are good at lobbing off anyone's head. Just like my sword is good at slicing open Stormcloak rebels, but wait it does more than slice! It dices too, bandits, dragons, and yes even the fearsome horkers!

Same can be said about a Stormcloak's head too

But on all seriousness, just look at the shape of it, you can easily hook the axe on someones collar bone!

Thank you, I also know that feeling smashing someone's Head in with a hammer. I have a whole save file dedicated to me rampaging through Skyrim with a hammer.

Axes, though i would take maces over both. I prefer the better staggering that axes and maces have over swords.

I trully dislike that headbutt finisher...
