Ok, so a new structure recently appeared in Morrowind:

I am now the first person in the history of MW to ever have a proper Ayleid structure! (big hahaha laugh here)

Now that this is done, I must make about half a dozen ruined variations for at least 2 of these meshes(I have 8 meshes and 9 textures done). I would have waited, but someone is in a hurry to get these; although I still need to make ruined versions for this to be truely useful. Yes, this is for the Project: Cyrodiil project.(I think I will wait a little while before submitting this stuff today just so I can relish the moment, haha)
(I think I should work on the door texture a little.)

Nothing more needs to be said than...wow. :shocking:

Lets see where to begin...

@Midgetalien, we still have some of the old zackg ayleid ruin pieces as well. Tarius will probably modify them a bit and make them a bit more mod friendly (cutting a few needless faces here or there) as well as updating the textures to fit our style as shown in the previous screens. SWG said he was going to get me his meshes for P:C some time ago but is yet to do so and I don't expect any of us will see anything from him for quite some time if ever which is unfortunate as there were some farm house meshes he had made that i wish were uploaded somewhere.

@DMKW, There will certainly be more ruins in our larger Cyrodiil. We have more land to cover so we will have more stuff. We will also have at least one new type of dungeon with Imperial graves. These will be like the ancestral tombs found in Morrowind but will generally be found in graveyards near towns (not always though). We will also have proper mines that function like Morrowind except you can expec tthese opperations to be larger and more professional. As for interiors they are set to be modular. Mostly we will be using the com set in retextured variations so that there will be continuity between the Imperials seen in Morrowind and those in Cyrodiil. They are the same people after all so why would they have drastically different buildings? For our major cities (Anvil, Bravil, etc.) we will have unique architecture and some of that will be shown before too long as we have begun exterior work on Stirk and the Gold Coast. I hope that answers your questions.

Last bus not least I'm glad to see that people are excited about the project. We recently finished several models of all types and are updating our data files tonight so that our modders can continue to produce quality environments for each of you to explore. Expect to see some new screenshots in our Province:Cyrodiil thread soon. As always you can join the project or simply the forums by following the link in my signature. We are always open to ideas from anyone who has them. Thanks and enjoy the ride!

Once again your mesh and texture work is outstanding - what 3D software are you using?

@DMWK- Wow, glad to see I don't have to go to the Skyrim forum for all that Oblivion-bashing goodness :stare: Seriously, why was any of that necessary? Do you feel better, now that we all know you're part of the cool kids club who prefers Morrowind? And for the love of god, can't you at least be original? Everytime I see "mainstream" or "casual" I vomit in my mouth just a little bit.

*ahem* On topic, these meshes look absolutely gorgeous. Would you be at all interested in custom textures for them? IIRC, you're using Barabus's textures, but I believe those are still based on Bethesda's, just with some filters applied. If I'm wrong about that, ignore me :P Great work, regardless.

I guess my post wasn't anymore necessary than yours was. Bethesda made meshes less modular so it would be easier for more people to jump right in and mod. Thats mainstreaming. I suppose I could find another word or you could recommend one to me but thats not the point. The point is complete meshes like that are bad for modding large scale cities because they don't offer enough variety. Btw I don't have anything against Oblivion, I've beaten it completely, like 3 times over, i just think morrowind is a much better TES game and I think the P:C crew can really give TES4 a run for its money and create the Cyrodil that many of us imagined it would have been. No hard feelings.

Samira thanks that all sounds damn good to me!

Actually those textures are all mine, I made them from scratch. The originals are actually all 2048x2048 but I of course had to shrink them down. cgtextures.com is a great place. Thankfully that is most of the texture work I have to do for the moment.

I use both Blender and 3ds Max. Took a little to learn Blender and I have had a copy of 3ds Max for a while; of course, you cant even buy my version anymore from one of those old software sites. I resolve to buy a more recent version once I get a job. Newest Max version may be several thousand $$, but older versions can go for lower then $150; dont think many people know this.
If you wanted to know the texture editing software, that would be Gimp and Paint.net.
