Nu-Mantia intercept : http://www.imperial-library.info/obscure_text/nu-hatta_nu-mantia.shtml
Facts and Opinions from the Nu-Hatta Intercept : http://www.imperial-library.info/obscure_text/nu-hatta_nu-mantia_facts.shtml

+ events of KoTN(Umaril's return)

Basically:(from Facts and Opinions....)

"The Barrier between Mundus and Oblivion is weakening. TRUE (was broken once(OC) but is weaking constantly)
There’s been a conspiracy dating back to the Dawntime. TRUE (Mythic Dawn and maybe others)
The Empire is threatened by previous realities. Oblivion. More? TRUE
The Events at Red Mountain (Morrowind’s Ending) should not be viewed as a good thing for the Empire. Agents in that event were tricked by the Dagonites [followers of Mehrunes Dagon]. The First Stone [Heart of Lorkhan] should have remained as it was. WOW:D TRUE!!! Effect: Morrowind destroyed, Tower + Stone destroyed:/ Barrier is weaking:D
The current problems go back to the Merethic Era. Aldmeris split during the Dawn, but the pieces had some changes to their realities". Dragon Breaks Crysis? TRUE?

so if intercept is right in all above situations:

The Aylieds are not gone. :D = TRUE!!! And will return someday!!!

also some ppl say that Ocato(Nah?) and Camorans(Mankar etc.) are Ayleid/Ayleid Descendants. So if the Ayleids plot exists.....:D

Voice your opinions and/or write possible info against or after this theory:d

i'm sure the Ayleids are not gone. IIRC their numbers are greatly diminished and are now in hiding across Tamriel

Gypsy Moth dustmemore insert - it should be noted here that it is always foolish to think of whole races sharing like minds. "Ayleid" is as much a metaphysical designation as it is a cultural one. Just like the earliest Chimer who orphaned themselves from the Velothi Exodites, but remain Chimer today, large numbers of Ayleids showed more interest in the immediate earthly needs of agriculture rather than the magical needs of concept-farming. This distinction becomes important later, when "Ayleid" begins to designate other, and ofttimes foreign, agencies.

The Cult of the Mythic Dawn, or, in the intercept, Tharnatos, are you Ayleids.

IMO Mythic Dawn has Ayleid members ( e.g. Camorans) and is ruled & finansed by Ayleids who saw/see a chance in its activity to reveal themselves and rule Cyrodill(or its part) once more. Mythic Dawn is only a part of their intrigue. btw.Ayleids were/are known cultists of Mehrunes Dagon even long time ago(Mehrunes Shrine in MR Plugin).

Their return from my point of view is also a beginning of interesting plot/background so its probably that developers will "bring them back":D Their not extinct like Dwemer but they're present and want their power back:J

The point I was making - and the Intercept, I believe - was the enemy are philosophically Ayleid. Antithetical to Imperial security. Very invested in White-gold Tower's destruction.

And genetically, the King of Valenwood is an Ayleid descendant, but who talks about anything but philosophy around here.

The Events at Red Mountain (Morrowind’s Ending) should not be viewed as a good thing for the Empire. Agents in that event were tricked by the Dagonites [followers of Mehrunes Dagon]. The First Stone [Heart of Lorkhan] should have remained as it was.
That's debatable. Weakening the Barriers to Oblivion was certainly a lesser of two evils when compared to Akulakhan. And that is the true conspiracy: to create threats where the lesser evil is to take down a Tower.

... Now, if outside forces are trying to dismantle Towers, then that means that someone is trying to actively sabotage the Elvish Ideal, to say nothing about Lorkhan's. Interesting.

Considering the events of Oblivion, the destruction of White Gold Tower's stone and the dragonfires, is the statue of Akatosh-Martin now White Gold Tower's stone?

I would say yes, if not the statue, then the blessing it represents. Making White-gold, perhaps, a stoneless tower (Stone uneeded, the intervention of Akatosh and his assumed blessing being a Divine re-inforcement to the towers, rather than a Man/Mer/Mythic one?)?

There are at least two basic aspects to any people - the flesh and the philosophy.

Alessia and her rebellion broke the Ayleid society and scattered its people, and that broke their power and their culture but neither the bloodline of the Ayleid people nor their ways have fully left the world. The bloodlines of the former Ayleid people were absorbed into nearly every Elven and some Human cultures, but not every bronze skinned Elf is an Ayleid and not every Ayleid is a bronze skinned Elf. Like others have mentioned, there are other groups at work in Tamriel whose goals and ideals very closely mirror those of the ancient Ayleids.

I was under the impression that Infernal City implied that the statue of Akatosh was something new. A new covenant between Man and Time-God.
