I actually find it funny.

"Remapping Activate now works on Quick Container (PC)"

But it still does not apply to workshop mode. I mean how stupid you have to be to miss that. Witcher 3 had these issues too, for what...like 1 or 2 weeks and they got fixed.

God I regret giving Bethesda any money. Thats a mistake Im never going to make again.

If it was only the equipping button, but as I hear it, stuff gets funky if you remap your moving controls and try to move in workshop mode. Might have been only an arrow key issue, not sure but still a case that makes mapping movement out of wasd rather difficult.

Yep this problem exist because the key mapping workshop, is different of standard mapping, impossible to edit a file key binding for the workshop (or i m stupid), i dont want install F4SE, and method for w7 for switching keyboard cause problem for FPS gaming.

Edit: Ty http://www.gamesas.com/user/967050-mark5917/ i check this one (but official solution is better)

Edit edit: Sorry but script file not solution, because in all game today we must create or edit script, file, for full experience of the game, i think we can stop pay for games...

Well, at least with that script you can play the game without problems right away...

Well, that's a VERY standard, except for "I dont give a sh*t about my game quality" release, to support azerty AND to not lock an incredible amount of keybind behind the hardcoded wall. ( We also are in 2015.. its not like PC gaming was started there is 2months )

maybe YOU should stop beeing a blind fan_boy and not accept such crap game quality. After all you PAY for a product.

I doubt you would accept to pay full price for a car without steering wheel, or seat, or whatever other missing part / broken part. So why do you quietly accept such broken game ?

And let me also remind you that its a AAA game, its not like bethesda are somes low money independant game dev.

Even if they were somes poor independant dev, i doubt it cost that much dev time, so money to not be that lazy and absolutely idiot about keybind / interface ergonomic.

No excuse in the world can justify a such bad job for that part ( even worse after a tiny little patch released after a month ... )

Unable to bind some keys isn't the same as buying a car that costs you like 100 times more than the game with a missing steering wheel, but I get your point. You're excessively over the scale of ranting. However I'm not a blind really devoted fan, just a guy with more important things to worry about :)

I can sympathise with your frustration 'cos I am left-handed and wanted to play with the arrow keys.

I tried AutoHotKey first and fell foul of the "sticky movement" issue where a remapped key would logically lock down and run me into a wall but I did then try F4SE and its keybinding work is flawless. Sure it takes a little reading or asking for help but then it works.

You will have to take a little responsibility for the issue if you want anything to change. Just complaining will fix nothing.

Out of interest (as I have no experience with this problem) what other high profile games have come out in recent times lacking left handed support?

I have to assume this is accessibility 101, unless there's some engine reason why the keys can't be changed in workshop for example. Let's hope it gets sorted for you lefties.

I can agree that there are issues with keybinds. Even on qwerty.

- Hard coded keys, annoying in general.
- The game accepts rebinding to keys that already have some other function hard coded.
- Rebinds don't affect all the various ui elements. Causing serious inconsistency when certain functions are remapped.
- Just general annoyance on how some functions were coded to the same key bind. (example: in workshop mode: select in workshop menu = select world object)
- Etc

However, excessive ranting won't solve anything and it certainly won't press Bethesda into fixing the issue.

For the moment using F4SE will solve your issue for the most part.

Personally I usually just remap keys on the keyboard itself using it's software which makes it fully remappable in profiles and leave a game's keybinds for what they are. Thank gawd for that. Plenty games lack proper remapping for this or that.
The issue that remains (for me) is some of the functions that Beth coded to the same keybinds. Although I have high hopes that F4SE will fix most of that in due time.
