[RELz] Azura Creature and Statue Replacer

Post » Sun May 01, 2011 9:30 pm

This all looks awesome.......but, I have just one question. Don't flame me too badly for this (as I still haven't made it very far into the MQ)......but where in the game does a creature version of Azura exist? As much time as I've spent messin around in the CS I have never come across Azura in any form.......creature or NPC. Am I missing something?

Spoilers:

You meet her a few times:

Well, as with most of my mods that start out simple, I
find a way to complicate and snowball them into something
completely different. I have added a set of armour for the
player's use in the Shrine of Mephala. It was a quick texture job
(as I did not want to spend more time than I needed on this).
It is, of course, spider themed :):

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g235/Wesadam/Extra%20Pics/_A_Mephala_Armour1.jpg

I may fiddle a bit more with the back of the male, but it will
do for now.

Also, there is a blade and a defensive blade placed in the shrine.
They are obviously placed in the shrine, but could be overlooked
if one does not know waht they are looking for (as they seem a part
of the architecture).

The sword uses Silaria's Spider Blade as a base, but with added extras
to make it a bit more unique.

Awesome! I'm in the Shivering Isles atm, but am downloading this for my return to Vvardenfell. I always end up returning there somehow. So I'll check it out then. Thanks for yet another beautiful mod. :)

There just are not enough armours that show of the male skin texture.
Since there are plenty of skin revealing armours for females, then there should
be some for males (as the hard work of the skin texture artist deserves to be
seen on the males just as much as the females). I guess this makes me an equal
opportunity modder  . The only change I plan on making to the male version
is to raise the back panel up so as not to have a plunging line there.
If it helps, think of the male armour as (American) football pads without the
covering of the jersey (which provide the protection that is needed).
I did try the armour with an underlayer, but I really wanted to have an excuse
to show off my male charater's abs (as he worked hard for them).

I make no apologies for my artistic decisions. If it looks good to me, then
it would look good to others (inciting the law of averages here).

:)

I think the return to Vvardenfell os an obvious choice, as there is still alot of love for TES:III, while Oblivion and the
Shivering Isles do not quite yet have the longevity represented to found such love and devotion (though maybe one day).

Westly that armor looks fantastic. I'm really quite fond of the Fang. I just thought of a neat idea for it: The sword has a 'summon spider' enchantment, which causes the "ornamental" spider on the blade to actually appear as a summoned creature. The blade is replaced in your hand with a spider-less version until either 1)the spell runs out or 2)the spider is killed, at which point you are once again holding the spider adorned version.

No idea how or if it'd work, but.... yeah.... :hehe:

I like the idea of the summon spider quest. and depending on what level you are as to what type of spider you get. I would love at level 100 to call forth a spider the size of Shelob. That would be fan freaking tastic.

I could take a note from the Spider Robe mod and see about making the sword drop small spiders.
I have been wanting to make an option for one of the avatar spiders in the shrine's main hall
to be companionable (but it would have to be an addon, as I want to keep the main mod free
from the need for the expansions). I have all of the scripts to make it companionable,
but I have to do some testing to make sure the model supports all of the companion features
that I want to implement (else I will use another spider model).

That looks fantastic, Westly! :goodjob: My Drow will love it. :)

And I will love for your Drow to have it :) !

Silaria's Spider Blade is a classic. I use it with Bart Notelaer's Spidersilk Shield

Thank you Westly, she looks beautiful.

I'm actually currently thinking of making a mod set in Moonshadow. I've got quite a few ideas to make a really awesome mod, i've even designed a map of the realm, but its not something i'm sure I can go ahead with, as i've already got so much modding work to be done. Its a hopefully maybe though.

Here is a quick look at the NPCs who occupy Mephala's the shrine (they are all Dunmer, but have varying heights to
diversify them a bit). They all have new faces (I could not resist making them) as well as the inclusion of
Mephala themed Ren hair (OB versions). They also show off the new Mephala's Servant Robe and two of
them are wearing a masked hood (one of many variations for helm options in this mod: Hood Hair with and without
masks, Hair with Headbands, a single mask [that lets you keep your own characters hair], and the Open Helm)

I really hope to finish this soon, but the desire to keep adding onto it keeps me building more and more  .

Mephala was the poorest daedra in Morrowind, and now, she'll have the coolest shrine and followers, thanks to Westly :P

The wig/helms all come with the option for white or black hair (no ears attached so as to have one mesh to
work with all races, male or female). The mask in the pic with blonde hair is showing that it is just a mask
with no hair attached (the blonde hair is my character's hair).

The Dark Elf faces and hair that I had shown above will be playable (for Dark Elves, of course :) ).
I did not make them available for the other races outside of the "wig/helms", but those should be enough :).

An additional version of the armour, the Shadow Servant Armour, which adds a dark underlayer
to the armour and a shadow visage for each of the helm styles as well.

http://i57.photobucket.com/albums/g235/Wesadam/Extra%20Pics/_AA_Assassin_ShadowSkin.jpg

It is more durable (and expensive) than the original Mephala set. I would like to add a scripted effect to the shadow gear
that adds bonuses to stealth and security only when worn (so as not to actually enchant it).
This, however, could conflict with other skill altering mods, so this remains to be seen.
