Azura Star bug?

Post » Fri Mar 26, 2010 7:00 am

So, I just got Azura's star on my Assassin to recharge his gear when his bow runs out of charge.
So I have Umbra, and I summon a dremora lord via scroll. I kill it, while soul trapped, and I get the message "There is no gem in your inventory large enough to capture this soul."
...k.
So I summon a plain ole' Dremora. I get the same message. Wut?
From the wiki:
"..It is essentially a reusable Grand Soul Gem."
So, why can't it capture the soul of a Dremora? And before you ask, yes, it's empty.

Dremora are humanoid, so their souls can only be trapped in black soul gems. Azura's Star can only trap non-humanoid creatures-- monsters, animals, undead, etc.

A dremora has a humanoid soul that can only be captured in a black soul gem. Think of his soul as like that of a bandit. Dremora's are considered 'NPC's.

Summon a skeleton and try - it will work fine.

Edit: Oops. Gpstr and I posted at the same time. :foodndrink:

Lame? That Azura does not condone or support necromantic practices?

You may not like it, but I don't think it is unrealistic that Azura would have crafted her Star in the manner she did. It is, after all, not 'Mannimarco's Star'. :P

I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about how Dremora are considered Humanoid.
