Azura's Touch - 10th Anniversary Edition

Post » Thu May 28, 2015 4:29 pm

When I started tweaking MW's Gameplay in May 2005, little did I know that it would grow this Huge. But it did. And by the Nine, if I had known, I would have consulted a Shrink. But I didn't. And all that started ten years and a couple of days ago now. So there. It's 10 Years, and the Romans called them Anni, so 10tn Anni-versary. Hopa!

Tamriel Rebuilt

Earlier this year I integrated a version of the Mod with TR. TR had something that AT didn't : a place where Higher Level Heroes could slowly build up to onfront the Horrors that await them in My World.

Peacelands

Well, there is a new Island now. Not very big : about half the size of Solstheim. It can be reached quite easily from Seyda Neen. Just teleport to Muddy Waters and run like hell towards the North West. The first big hill has a guy near a stone fighting rats. It doesn't take long for him to notice you. You'll get his hat. Put it on.

Did I mention that Peacelands is utterly Empty? Well, that's where the hat comes in. You put it on. It doesn't take long before some foe attacks you from behind. And if you check the messages, or your INV from time to time, you'll notice the Tree Seeds. Just drop one anywhere and see what happens.

Just take a nap and see what happens then... Yes, you may be disturbed. By a Friendly Creature. I'm even considering turning off DBAttacks there. A couple of those Friends and some trees you've planted with stuff you put in there or traded may generate a place you'd be glad to revisit.

DL

I'm still debugging some scripts, but it's mostly working and I intend to publish this Edition before June.

By the way

Be careful with the switches. Multiply may be serious trouble for an unsuspecting HLH, as may be Morons. Keep them OFF for a while. Any time you put the hat on, you'll be given an opportunity to change them. Don't try all at once. Unless of course, you've played earlier incantations of Azura's Touch and are prepared well enough...

I have totally revised DBAttackScript, so they don't attack you all at once, and not all of them are highest difficulty, and AT already had them stripped from most of their armor on Death, so there's balance, and you're not attacked until you are Level 10 or have Rep 16 , but if you've told the guards, the hunt intensifies etc.

Man, scripting has opened up Pandora's Box. Sunset L72 got a Spriggan from the Hat, and I didn't count during the fight, but after the last was gone, there were some 30 Spriggan Skulls. That's nothing compared to what the Nightmares hurl at you these days, but they're not in the Hat. Phew. Fortunately!

The Hat can be used anywhere, the trees can be planted anywhere. And then there's the Cursed Daedra Shrine Items. 0.78 has revamped them into Instant Nightmare Battle Zone Toys. Thx MWScript.

Oh, should you decide to try This Baby with your HLH (High Level Hero), please talk to the Golden Dremora Lord there (Seyda Neen) and by the Nine be polite. And then talk again. And again. Until he stops giving you presents. It makes a big diff when you're in His Favor.

This may very well be the last edition I'll ever publish, as Reality is Grim these days. I can only hope someone after me will continue the Path to Glory, should the worst thing happen.

Oh, and don't overlook the bottle near Arrille's door, and have fun with the Butler's Romance and Rick's contraptions. And everything else I've been putting inside this GEM. May the Nine forever Light your Path.
