Azura's Touch - The Halfway There Edition

Post » Mon Mar 14, 2016 3:45 pm

[ed - what it adds:]

  • Action and Fun

  • loads of new adversaries

  • spawning adversaries : and then there are even more :)

  • loads of new friendly creatures - most of them trade or provide other services, including your (and foe's) Summons

  • bits of mostly sketchy landmass - settlements have low priority

  • Weapons and other items and Magicks to counter the violence

  • Tweaks of existing foes and quests (more challenging / rewarding / smile-inducing)

  • Lots more

[:ed]

10th Anniversary was quite satisfactory, yet playing it with a New Hero ignited so many tweaks that by now I am utterly proud to present the latest edition. Somehow it feels as if I am actually halfway there. Gameplay cannot be pushed much further, the boredom of combat which triggered the first tweaks 11 years ago has totally been eradicated. From now on the emphasis may be more on polishing the New Lands and adding settlements and stories.

A "What's New" here would be a waste of space, so i'd rather suggest the Release Notes on the DL Page : http://azuras-touch.com/dl/080_

Thanks to MCP, I have been able to create a monstrosity instead of a modest Hero. Every Levelup his Endurance has been maxed, so this Aldmer now has END 290 and Health 868. OMG. And Magicka and Fatigue and Set Bonuses and Massive Blasts and whatever. Somewhere in the process, he convinced me to reduce the Adversaries idiotic Reflect / Spell Absorbs significantly, and yes: being a Magickal Charackter really really makes them cretins tremble with fear and awe or simply die.

So much so that after a while mo(de)st vanilla adversaries gradually reduce their hostility towards Thine Hero, significantly reducing the annoyance of full Battle Hymns for creatures that cannot even survive your softest blow.

This edition is the most coherent one I ever published. Currently it is only available as an update ESP to the 10th Anniversary (0.79) ESM. A full ESM of this edition will be available in due course, but it will be functionally identical to 0.79 + this Update.

The inspiring Hero is available on the DL Page as well.

I've read your opening post and your site and I've got to tell you, I have absolutely no idea what your mod does.

For a moment I thought it was your savegame ..

Thanx for pointing that out. I've added a tiny bullet list in the opening post. Which cannot possibly say it all.

The Savegame is just to give you an idea of what the world looks like around Level 50 without going there all the way yourself. Experience the Hallucinogenic Combat at that kind of Level. Entering with a Level 50 who never set foot in this world would be different: such a hero would probably die instantaneously.
