Baby Corns

Post » Fri Jun 18, 2010 12:15 pm

Do you remember the baby corns you can find in your Chinese food sometimes?
Want to find some in New Vegas?
Well go to the NCR Sharecropper Farm and enter the Southwest-most greenhouse, where you will find the NCR's premier crop miniaturization project.
Here you will see miniaturized Maize (corn) growing on tiny little stocks, as well as miniaturized pinto beans, which are some of the rarest plants in the wasteland.

Unfortunately, the NCR's miniaturization efforts seem to be flawed, as once you pick the baby corn, it is no longer so miniature! When dropped, you will see that it is the same size as all the other Maize in the game.
It must spontaneously grow to full size when removed- I blame SCIENCE!

Anyway, thought this was neat when I found it to day. Go check it out for yourself.

This seems to be a signature for these games.

You can also find a miniature bottle of Sunset Sarsaparilla.

If you have no other similar items in your inventory with which these mini-item may stack. You should be able to take them and drop them again without them reverting. At least i could do that with the bottle.

Ya know, that reminds me of a private mini-rant I go through every time I see one.

Ya know those little grass-skirt hula dancers? Why don't they make them available in game?

Ever since FO3 I have been hoping that one of them will be active in the game. I want to set it up somewhere and nudge it and make it hula every time I pass.

I just cannot pass one without trying to pick it up.

Thing is, like the hula girls (AHHH) you can't obtain the baby corns, just look at them. It's not like the other mini items where the actual item is miniaturized, it's just the setpiece that you harvest from.
