ммм... странно всё это. In Russian Довахин (7letters)

Думаешь, по-русски шифровали?))))

After trying several variants, I'm completely sure that first two words are NOT Dovahkiin. Something different...

What is the "basic" language in the TES-universe? In LOTR it′s elvish. Everything there can be broken down into elvish and I would suppose there is something like it in TES also.

Do you mean Quenya? Or Sindarin?

The theoretical base for all mannish and merish languages in TES is Ehlnofex. Its not very direct, though.

lol, no. Though the president of Zenimax does have a Russian sounding name...

Довахин isn't how I'd translate Dovahkiin, though. The H and K sounds are more separate than the X suggests. I'd say the TH and II sounds are likely compressed into a single separate letter, which gives us more symbols.

Same here, I am beginning to think it is something else.

The second to last word of the thing appears a lot. I'd like to assume that it is "the" but I can't think of a third word that would fit "*he"

There's she and the, but there's a third spelling in the thing that uses a different symbol first.

"too" "Bee"

Reposting this. 27 letters, picked 0 for the 27th.

Oh thanks ! I was just giving up on doing that. Plus I forgot my glasses in my car.

Yeah. Assuming it's a code of english, then there's some serious recutting of words to do. I mean, is there any word repeating bar "abcdefg" ?

I believe the 1st line first two letters say DO.

The same letters are used in 5th line 2nd and 3rd letter.
So, based on that 5th line 1st word would be "od".
I think the other letter means G, making it God.

The same two letters have to be in the last 2 spots
E.g. Ton, Son, Won(This doesn't work so it's not this)

And looks like I miscounted according to that chart up there, there's 4 three letter words that use the same last two letters

Even more difficult.

If we concede that the second letter is "o", than the third to last letter of the first word and the first letter have to be "h", "r", and "n".

We are about this the wrong way. What we need to do is put the first stanza next to the song at the end of the trailer - they clearly say the same thing. Its a different language and a different alphabet, we should be translating and working out words, not deciphering. I'm on this at the moment, anyone else want to try?

Whats the most agreed upon version of the trailer song?

Anyone wondering what the lyrics to the theme are, I saw someone post this before, and it seems spot on to me.

For the king, for the king
For the sake of Skyrim
For our land, for our home
For Hrothgar's Blood
For the Nords and for the Gods
For the sole? single son
Dovahkiin, our king, who will dawn with fire!

Might help, might not. Just my two cents.

Let's use this simple letter replace software to see what we can see by replacing letters:

http://www.richkni.co.uk/php/crypta/letreplace.php

The first two words do not appear to be DOVAKIN.

As far as I can tell, there are 7 two-rune words. http://img522.imageshack.us/img522/6899/skyrimtrans01.jpg Unless one of the first letters is TH. The first and second rune clusters make up the beginning of the first line word.

Is this going anywhere?

Whats the most agreed upon version of the trailer song?

For the King, For the King, for a Single Skyrim.
For the Nine, For the Wulf, for the Godless One.
As we look to the Gods, for the sole single son.
For the King, For the King, for the Dawn we'll ride.

Dovahkiin, Dovahkiin, for the Sake of Skyrim.
For the Land, For the Home, of Hrothgar's Blood.
For the Nords, For the Gods, for the sole single son.
Dovahkiin, Dovahkiin, who'll dawn in Fire.

Trailer threads. *shrug*

Hey has anyone tried applying our translation of the song in the trailer to this? If it is the song then we might be able to decrypt atleast more characters,

Dovakiin Dovakiin
for the sake of Skyrim
etc etc.

Look at the seventh word,
I think the word Skyrim/n with an N in the end fits well.

What do you guys think?
