Even if there are more letters than english letters, you can still make assumptions on the tiny two letter words and get a good overview which may help isolate them.

If the words are cut right, and it's not a decode-and-reassemble thing.

My vision is blurring. Are there words repeating, bar the two first on the first line / first on the sixth ?

If the first two words are 'Dovhakiin' (however you spell it, I don't know if anyone has the official spelling) then it has some strange implications - 'v(h)' is more used than 'a', 'n' is the most used letter, and 'o' is use three times more than 'd'

There's an official spelling. Watch the german version of the trailer and you'll see it :)

If I went in depth on every rune within the message I might be able to come up with something but thats a lot of work. Hopefully we'll get another clue about this but I'm not banking on it.

Now that I think about it from the teaser trailer, doesn't it sound like he is saying "Duvakeen"? I am not implying if that's how it's spelled but I think it's around that ballpark.

Some progress:

01. ABCDEFG ABCDEFG
02. G.. BE ..G .B. CD.FG
03. .D A.G CBE.. .D.....E D.. ...
04. D.E ..G GB.BE ... ...G
05. .BA G... .BG ..GA.B ..G
06. ABCDEFG .D ..G EB..G .. A...

07. D.E ..G ... .B.. ..BAD
08. AB C.. CFG. EB ..G E.D
09. .B. .BA ...D F.G ECG ... ..GACG
10. ..A..G ..G AB ..G
11. E...FE CBE.G ...AG..
12. CB.. .G .D.BE .D AFCBG ..G .CG

I am confident that this translates in to plain English. We just need to switch some letters out. The extra symbols are either commas, periods, exclamation points, or question marks, if I am correct.

I will not assume the first two words are "Dovakin". Where did we end up with this spelling? The song sounds to me like they could be saying "Nova King" or "Dovakeen" or anything similar to that. Let's not jump to conclusions.

 Nevermind, I don't want to start getting off topic and spam up this thread. Just for the record, I am sorry ^_^

Now on topic

Do you guys think that in-game books about Skyrim would help us in anyway with the poem?

You people are sick, Gstaff. Sick.

We COULD all be out there playing other video games, but nooo, you have to take advantage of our fanhood, and force us to decrypt runes for YOUR game.

Think of the other games and tell us what it means!

Just when I think I figured something out I find something else that messes the whole thing up. Look at the two letter words. One of them appears twice and uses a character that only appears once somewhere else. Which means it's unlikely to be "to, so, is, me, as...etc.." because those characters are too common. There must be a variable here that I'm missing.

The second to last word of the thing appears a lot. I'd like to assume that it is "the" but I can't think of a third word that would fit "*he"

There's she and the, but there's a third spelling in the thing that uses a different symbol first.

Anyone think of three 3 letter words that use the same two last letters?

Dohvakiin is not english, so we might assume the whole text is a different language.

What is the "basic" language in the TES-universe? In LOTR it′s elvish. Everything there can be broken down into elvish and I would suppose there is something like it in TES also.

Unless it's expanded I don't think the text is the lyrics to the chants in the trailer's song. If you try and read along with it as they speak it's MUCH too short. My guess is it's either a longer version of the song or a completely different message, maybe even the song in the first paragraph plus something else in the second.

This is not to say the first word isn't Dovahkiin though! I believe it is.
