Gstaff said later in the day we will be given Decryption tools to decipher the passage :/ its not a known langage / characters in the TES series. Turns the Page posted a screenshot of an Akaviri passage with characters, but they have no resemblance to what is on the Cover (not connected vs connected characters)
Just in case, I am also posting this version of the text:

The two lines and one dot character repeats it self a lot, it might be a vowel, and it reminds of an "e". On the second line, the third word looks like "the". I believe this is english written with different characters just like Daedric Language.
The first part is the lyrics for the trailer so the first word is Dovakhin (repeated twice, also in the last sentence).
Just taking these as letters (assuming the kh is one symbol) I got gibberish, so there's more to it as I expected. Gonna look into it more after dinner.
Anyone getting anywhere with this? Whenever I start filling in a letter I seem to end up with contradictions one obvious letter later. Maybe its written phonetically on top of in this weird alphabet? Apparenly its dragon language, which suggests Akaviri dragon if we really end up with words like Ko.
My hunch is that there are too many three-letter words here for this to be a straight letter->symbol translation job. I don't think there are enough three letter words that could be used to string together a coherent sentence in English. So I imagine some of them at least will have to be representing sounds/two letters.
Would also make sense given that Gstaff suggested that the twice-over word is indeed Dovahkiin (which we know has more letters than there are symbols there)
If its even as simple as that. ... y'know I think I'll just wait for the translation to be given to us later this evening.
I'm almost done decoding this. I'm multilingual so when I look at this I can see English. It's a little challenge, but not too much. Still looking forward to the decoder though.
Could it be those blasted lyrics we've been trying to figure out?
That's what I am thinking, the two words repeating at the begining seem to be the bigging hint. Plus this from GSTAFF (a dev)
Faulgor, on 06 January 2011 - 11:09 AM, said: The first stanza looks like the lyrics from the teaser. The first word is repeated twice (Dovahkiin, Dovahkiin), and it's the same as the first word in the last line.
As a note: the best way to do translations is to figure out a word that we know (two and three letter words are most common, since they are most limited) and then transcribe the letters onto the rest of the text until it makes sense. So if you think the first line is "Dragons" or "Dovahkiin" please carry the translation through and see if it works.
This post is just my attempt to keep the thread productive
