I've been accumulating quite the bounty with my current character, and I was just wondering if there's alternative ways in and out of the various major cities. I looked on the wikis, but didn't see any, and am wondering in the vain hope that maybe I'm just looking at the wrong places. Anything, anyone?

You can access Riften through the house you can buy, but that's about it. A lot of cities have secret escapes out but very few in.

I'd settle for a way to get out of Whiterun, as I don't want to pay a 20K gold bounty and I don't want to stay in jail for however long.

You can exit Whiterun either by escaping from jail through the secret routes, or

There's a secret route out of the jail that doesn't lead back into the city? When I've tried to leave that way, I come out into the middle of the guard's barracks. Is there something I'm missing? I also would like to know ways out of Solitude and Markarth. Windhelm's easy to leave, simply because no one really ever guards the back door to the docks.
