Back to Skyrim. Any fun build suggestions?

Post » Wed Jun 25, 2014 1:01 pm

So yep, as the thread title says. I picked up Skyrim again, both DLC's and I would like to start fresh. One could say "build what ever you want" but hey, if I wanted to do that I would be ingame and not here at forum! :P

-Drop some build suggestions bellow, something cool, fancy, assassin alike or mage/necro.

...Something... anything!

Pure thief: steal everything you use/eat/etc, zero combat or killing, avoid all confrontation with enemies and hostile animals, primarily active in cities/settlements.

Thalmor Assassin is always a good one.

Make a high elf, get some robes, and choose which ever assassin skills you're most interested in. Your job is to silently make your way through all of Skyrim and root every last the Talos blasphemer. Do some investigating, find any proof of their Talos worship, and then silently take them out. If you can manage to make a public display of them as a warning to any other Talos worshipers, all the better, but the first priority is to remain completely undetected. Confiscate any Talos amulets you come across and destroy them all.

Maybe a wild man who has little understanding of society, and instead lives like a beast in the wilds, literally, werewolf style.

Some good RP ideas have come to me with this list. You have to convert them, but that shouldn't be too hard.

That's a great list.

Restoration Mage / Undead Hunter - play it as a mage or an armored warrior, but your focus would the Turn Undead spells in Restoration and the Detect Undead spell in Alteration. Dawnguard adds some direct damage Restoration spells.

to add on to this, there is also the daggerfall classes, while several are like the ones from oblivion or morrowind, several are not and are quite interesting.

There is also the Oblivion NPC classes

yeah, but there eventually gets to a point where RPing a thalmor is impossible. Thalmor assassins go after you no matter what. and then there is the case of the MQ and mages college both being anti-thalmor. Also, Thalmor always berate you and yell at you no matter what.

I've seen people RP the Winterhold questline where Ancano has actually become a renegade Thalmor who has drifted away from his assignment to retrieve the eye of magnus for the Aldmeri dominion and instead become personally obsessed with having it for himself. You are supposed to enroll at the college and go undercover as a student, as a way of keeping tabs on him. As things progress and he becomes more out of control, you're job is to assess the situation, try to recover the eye of magnus if possible but if not, make absolutely sure that Ancano does not take control of it for hmself, even if this comes at the expense of retrieving the eye for the dominion.

On PC? The odds are stacked against it, but not totally true; there is a little mod called http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/32828/. It works great apart from picking an annoying place for its Dominion recruitment officer, all patrols and Northwatch soldiers won't attack. And an entity like the Thalmor would certainly have ruthlessly competing factions; I never really get the sense that Ancano is exactly following his orders, either ;)
