Is there anyway I can set the Orange coloured writing as a default?

Not ideal, but okay as an temporary measure. I've http://i451.photobucket.com/albums/qq236/1Samildanach/newbth.png. That image doesn't show it quite properly though (does photobucket shrink images or something?).

If they're too large. That's a PNG image, you'll get better results saving it as a JPEG and uploading.

This forum is used to be so much more than a generic gaming forum...

Agreed.Well at least we still have our wonderful personalities, that is until the black van shows up to take us away.

Kinda off topic... But one day I want to see a mod close a thread by replying only with this: :thofftopic:

So the facebook stuff definitely posts stuff from here to facebook? Great... I'll never use it then. My facebook people don't know certain aspects of my life that I'm more open about here. Given that I know none of you in real life. :P

Yea I can imagine my facebook friends leaving nasty comments about anything coming from here.

Sadly doesn't change your text for the rest of us. You still come in grey, annoyingly.

So, is there like, a reason...of some sort...as to why scrolling down this forum uses 60% of my CPU?

I mean, I'm not even breaking 15% CPU usage on ANY other website I can find. Blogs, forums, image boards, comics.

There's no excuse for this.

I thought it was just me. I can hear my CPU go from idle to working a bit harder as I'm scrolling down. I only usually get that with Dreamweaver, the GECK and full screen games like Fallout. A forum, though? That's strange.

There was something else I was going to mention but I forget now.

To you guys using the orange text: it's not helping!! It only hurts more. I think this is a better solution anyhow.

:twirl:  This is so lag tastic I am going to shoot someone. :twirl:

Thanks for posting that in a manner that hopefully their web designer can use to improve it. While I'm ignorant about the subject, it does have a lot of obvious things that need ironing out. It is very hard on the eyes - I suffer from chronic migraines (almost daily) and I doubt I'll be using it much until different, less garish skins are available. And the scroll issue on Firefox makes it impossible to use for me - the stuttering is just too painful to look at (and its my default browser). Opera is better and Chrome is fine, so hopefully their web designer can figure out what makes one work well and the other not.

I'd almost rather simply see the CD deleted again, and have the forums be about nothing but Bethesda games.

:slap: Take that back.If that was true i wold of left a while ago and never come back.Which I know all of you would be very upset.

I dunno what you all are talking about lag, or higher CPU usages. I'm running seriously SMOOTH as butter on this new forum setup. A lot smoother than I used to, in fact. Loads almost instantly, and there isn't any lag of any kind scrolling.
Guess it's you silly PC users. Safari FTW. :thisissparta:

Love the black background, I simply love anything black/gray though. My bike is black, my PCs/peripherals are black/gray, my TV/lamps are black, many of my cloths are black.....but I am not goth/emo or any such thing. I just like black.

The wide screen issue is an issue.

The stars are annoying. (And very easy to fix. I've built sights and done just this, set up the star rating. 5 minutes, tops!)

The search bar is annoying to.

But I understand these things take time to tweak. I'll reserve full judgment, but basically like it so far minus the aforementioned stuff.

Oh right, almost forgot. I like how the emoticon window stays were I can get at it, and not disappearing behind my browser when I start to type again like the old forums.

I just got on (and didn't quite read this whole thread), but so far I'm not really liking the new set-up (as a whole).

I like that they separated everything out so I don't have to look at the sections for other games (even though scrolling past them was no trouble to me), but I don't like how different everything is now. :yuck:
I also didn't really like having to re-set my avatar and sig (I think that I got the right parts bolded...)

I'm going to give everything a try, but I really think that the last set-up was better...

Well if the games are a model to reason by, I assume they'll miss the points of the complaint completely and will overcompensate by providing us with a text only BB. <_<
