Yay, I'm a genius and didn't know it .
But truthfully, I was thinking of http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/18665/?. A robotic steed would be a really neat way of getting a vehicle in FO4
Err... so long as it still supports riding creatures. Hopefully that'll still be possible, even if it isn't used in the game. It could be done in FO3, but I gather needed some ingenuity, and Skyrim's Havok Behaviour animation system for creatures made it a good deal harder to add new creatures.
Odd thing to say, considering that every Beth game made so far has a carry limit. As has pretty much every RPG I've played in the past year (except ARPGs, which have that space limitation instead. Hmm, and DA:I had a space limit as well.)
Hmmm.. PoE? I'm guessing you don't mean Path of Exile.....

Ah. As you can tell, I didn't get to that one. (Wasteland 2 & Divinity:OS filled up my "old-style isometric" needs for the year...)
...hmm. Divinity ended up with me having a vast amount of stuff in my inventory. Of course, I did have four characters to carry it. And a lot of it was very light-weight crafting ingredients/scrolls/potions/arrows/etc. It did have additional bags, for sorting, that opened in their own windows. Only thing they were missing was the ability to label them - four characters, each with 2+ sub-bags of stuff? Yeah, keeping track of who had what got to be a bit annoying.
Just give me a pack brahmin as companion that follows me and that i can tether outside an interior cell. I'd gladly trade another dogmeat for it. Hell, attach a side quest to it where it gets stolen by someone and I have to track it to get my crap back. Gives it character, too.
Have there been any truly new creatures for Skyrim or just re-skins of existing ones? The reason I moved to modding FNV was due to new creatures, it's actually getting a bit routine now I'm up to my 13th one.
Ah, I'm not sure. If I remember correctly a couple of people have figured out how to edit the behaviour files, but I'm not sure if anyone's actually made use of that knowledge to add new creatures. And if any of the techniques will even be possible in FO4 is, of course, entirely unknown (so far).

If you're interested, http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1515802-info-behavior-by-havok-animation-tools/ on the Skyrim forum might be a good place to start.
I would like a back pack with a vacuum attachment on it so I can svck up all the loose change, ammo and bowls of stew for later... (yes picture that for a moment)
There's a mod for New Vegas that adds cut content, there's also a brahmin companion called Betsy that could carry much more stuff compared to other companions.
Yeah, although I love mods (and have made a few), Bethesda put way too much power in the hands of mod creators for Bethesda mods to be entirely user friendly. Any game which boasts a fan-made video tutorial on how to properly install mods, and a collection of tools for managing them properly, isn't really for the faint of heart. At least you need to do research on whether a mod is reliable before installing it carelessly.
Of course, the flipside is that mods can do amazing things, and potentially add vast amounts of replayability to a game .
For me, it depends on how encumbrance is handled in the game.
The old "pick up a spoon and suddenly you're encumbered" thing is just sad.
I'd rather have encumbrance be a property of Strength, and Endurance, where a character is gradually slowed down the more weight they carry, and the longer they carry it, and have it negatively effect Agility.
With backpacks, I'd prefer a container system where a character could quick-drop a backpack to free up movement speed, and Agility during combat, and then go back and pick up the backpack.
