I hope this isn't a bad thread to make but I feel this place is always the most helpful..that being said.

Can anyone help me with my Breton's backstory? I have the smallest details down in my head, but my lore knowledge lacks big time.

I want him to have grown up in High Rock, eventually leaving due to a tragedy.

Thing is, I just don't have it in me to come up with a solid background as in what his family were in High rock and what sort of event would drive him away from the province?

Whatever the event may be, he would lose his whole family to it, one way or another.

Lore Friendly backstory, with Tragic overtones?

Your PC comes from the Lillac bay area, where the people fight ( both politically and physically ) to go from lower middle class or lower class period, to upper class. This mean's political enemies, the worst kind. So your PC can either be from a failed attempt at political manipulations to get higher or been from a Higher class family that end's up being killed in someone elses political game. The whole family lost, your pc either had to fight their way out or wasn't at home at the time of the attack.

It's obviously not as extensive as one of the lore sites, but it's interesting enough & should definitely contain what you're looking for.

Yea, they have a tendency of being inaccurate in some cases.

Personally just toss any ol' story, it's more fun that way.

Things from political enemies, Deadra worship, whole sacrificial cult, this is a high fantasy setting so much things won't be a stretch.
