Discuss is Bacon over rated or not? Is there any alternative if you don't care for it, but still want that salty taste?

I think Bacon is over rated. It's good but the wild meats are so much better. Rabbit or Partridge.

Crispy bacon or thick, meaty bacon is not overrated. Thin soggy bacon is awful.

Actually rabbit meat isn't good for you---at least as survivor food due to there not being any fat, rabbit meat doesn't have protean and relaying on it to much for surviving can cause protean poisoning. As for bacon I like eating it for breakfast or on a Carl's Jr Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger.... :drool: .

Bacon is dead pig. I can think of many more humans that are undeserving of life than pigs. Humans kill, steal and so on, whereas pigs raise piglets and roll in the mud, and are then slaughtered for food.

Bacon is lovely though.

It's SO overrated. Give me a slice of country ham before bacon any day. Cut open a cat head biscuit and put two slices of that in there, it's better than bacon could ever aspire to be.
