Yes, because you are still contributing to the number that Crytek thinks are pirating the game.

Nah, they failed to give us a demo while giving the XBox players everything. And before you buy this game, you REALLY should play the demo. Its nothing like Crysis.

its a fun exercise

at what point does one become responsible ?

Think of a Crytek store that has on the very outside of the store saying "you know that Crysis 2 demo thats coming up? well theres a low-rate version of that game free behind the store for anyone to play - we're deeply disappointing " and they keep this sign up for a period of time and it becomes obvious that the sign itself is generating most of the interest in the low-rate version. People go in telling the store that the sign itself is to blame for most of the trouble but they continue to keep it up, and refuse to answer whether or not they intentionally put the sign up to generate interest in it.

Because if in any way the company is trying to cash in on the leak and behaves in such a way that would do so then they're effectively trying to have their cake and eat it to - something we know you can't do. If they do that and it seems increasingly obvious thats what they're doing then by enabling and encouraging the exercise of the leak they are taking away the requirement to preorder and making it morally permissible to try it out.

business is fun!

Yes its bad even if you have every intention of purchasing the game. There is no justification for people pirating and when I read comments like th398z' post I just laugh. Im sorry but when did you become entitled to Cryteks property?

Crytek doesnt have to give you ANYTHING. Anyone who mentions the demo as a reason for pirating is just pants on head retarded.

EDIT: gamer1982o394, your post is one of the saddest attempts ive seen of a person trying to convince themselves they are right to pirate Crysis 2.

People pirate games because they are one or more of the following-

Impatient
Lazy
Poor

That is the bottom line.

people who think some ways remind me of fundamentalists (who are usually ignorant but like their own system)

Yes, only if you didn't already preorder. Ignore the trolls, your choice, nothing illegal; just moral.

You may only download the leaked version if you:
1. Buy the game no matter what/have preordered it
2. Don't spoil anything for anyone
3. Only play a tiny fraction of the game
4. Never say anything negative about it
5. Constantly spurt out how amazing it is and how you want to give Crytek all of your money
6. Accept that the build is from Jan 13 and is very old
7. Accept that it's DX9 only, limited to high settings (Rather than very high)
8a. Don't make videos on Youtube saying "CRYSIS 2 MAX SETTINGS OMG!" because that's an outright LIE. There are NO Very High settings in the leak. The console commands AREN'T THERE. You CAN'T get it, because it DOESN'T EXIST yet.
8b. Don't make videos at all
9. Never stop yelling "AWWEEESSOOOMMMEEEE!!!!" while playing, because you genuinely enjoy it
10. Wish that the game didn't leak in the first place.

It's more of a moral decision, since the game isn't out yet, but if you follow the guidelines above no one will be hurt.

However, some people can't be trusted. That's why I personally wish that Crysis 2 were never leaked, even though so much awesome has been revealed/commented/played, and I managed to experience the very first HUUUUUUGGGGEEEEE spoiler in the beginning for myself, without anyone else ruining it for me.
