bad graphics

Post » Tue Dec 06, 2011 8:03 pm

I am using the xbox 360 and YES i know of the issue with the graphics.

my concern is that the workaround for the problem is to play the game off the disc instead of installing it onto the 360. i have the 360 without a hard drive so i thought there would be no problem.

so around 50 mins into the game i noticed how bad alot of things looks hand pixelated ect.

so i checked my system settings and made sure that it was set to 1080p ( i have a 57 inch hdtv and a HDMI cable that i use with my xbox ) and it still looks bad.

so when the patch comes out will it fix that or is this how it is supposed to look?

I found no difference in graphical output regardless of whether it was install or not.

So, I'm confident that the patch in early december will fix the issue.

It isnt bad graphics it is just tessilation. This has to do with the graphics engine. I myself have noticed no load times while exploring the world and a massive increase in the environment effects and lighting. The particle effect quality has become jaw dropping. I guess it has to do with what you expect. I have been surprised at every turn so far. I always put my games on the 360 HD and never play from the disk. So far 2 freezes in loads of game time so I am very happy with the quality.

Oh booboo, same [censored] response that comes up every time anyone even mentions Xbox. Yeah I'm pretty sure they're going to fix it.

It comes, because it is the truth. Xbox is old and whining that it has bad graphics is just stupid.

The complaint is that the textures glitch and look terrible, worse than they are supposed to. You clearly just have no idea what you are talking about and just wanted to come in and bash Xbox.

Its possibly not a bug.. This game has some really bad textures, like in Windhelms walls outside the city, i thought i was playing daggerfall when i first went there.

That's true but for most people it looks better when uninstalled, leading to the belief that it is a glitch which can be fixed.

Are you kidding? Windhelm looks awful, the texture of snow is the main problem.

Don't be so quick to judge.

We know that the PC technically offers better graphics than the XBox 360 but that's if you've got it running right and there are no internal issues witht he PC you're running it from.

His PC may not be able to run the game properly or even as well as the XBox 360 at the moment.

The XBox 360 has great graphics and because it's a console you know it's going to look just as good for everyone else whereas the PC version may be limited by the PC it's running on.

The tech section is where you can get some advice on how to get the optimum output from your PC.

The PC is capable of running the game better than the 360 and this guy's not getting good graphics on his PC so it sounds like he needs a fix or an upgrade.

Gotta say I was disappointed with the graphics at first, until I realised that it's because I'd been playing battlefield 3 so much that I've become spoilt.

The OP says he's a 360 owner. The fact is most of us aren't having the texture stream problem that causes the textures to soften and lose some clarity and sharpness . I'm not having this issue ,the graphics textures on my system are fully rendered and they look awesome.

can you guys calm the heck down ok? i was not whining i was making an observation.

there are times where it will take 2 mins after leaving an area where the screen is black THEN the load screen comes up i will put a axbox 360 hard drive on my wish list for x-mas maybe that will help.

do not get me wrong i think it looks good i am just saying specific things look bad ( npc's up close my hands and shield, my bracer armour ) but other things look epic like giants up close they look hyper detailed.

perhaps it is the fact that i have no hard drive. also i am not full of crap i have a 57 inch flat screen HDTV i am using an HDMI cable and i set the xbox system settings to what the tv can handle which is 1080p.

if you look at the youtube video with the guy showing a work around for the xbox 360 graphics my graphics looks like his BEFORE he did the work around.

but i am playing off the disc seeing as i have no hard drive.

im just hoping that when they release the patch it will get fixed.

but at least it looks better then oblivion :) so i cannot complain there

If you purposely go looking for the bad,you will find it,that goes for just about any game ,I try not to let my border-line ocd traits ruin an otherwise awesome game for that reason alone. those kind of issues will disturb my experience.I can only say this- I am playing on a flipping sdtv with the 'widescreen' setting on because of the hud p.o.v. an that has "squished" the overall picture and ya know what?

Skyrim still looks incredible IMO.

I used to own a very high line pioneer plasma so I know how it could be looking an I can only imagine!
I think the game looks really good considering all of the content, freedom and skyrim's open ended nature.

I am sure the new patch will address a few of the graphical hiccups...we can hope.

Try saving and loading that save. Does that fix the problem? I've had low level lods failing to update sometimes on my old spec'ed PC (9800 GTX, 2GB RAM, XP). I obviously can't play on max'ed settings, but I still love the graphics, other than when it bugs out of course.

He's not complaining about the xbox graphics [censored] bag, he's saying that they've deteriorated as he's played.

I think the Cache argument is probably the most likely. Without a HD you can't cache, hence graphics are getting pixelated.
