Bad light flicker

Anyone know what could be causing all lighting to flicker? I tried farting around with settings but couldn't fix it. Thanks

Go under Video options and untick fullscreen.

Post your results if it did or did not work.

What you all forgot to include is what video card you have. Update all your drivers, and try again.

I'm having the exact same problem. Video drivers are the latest. The game is near unplayable as a result of this. And there's NO WAY I'm playing in windowed mode. Windowed mode disables Crossfire, which will about halve my performance.

We need a fix for this ASAP! By chance are all the people here using MULTI-GPU setups?

EDIT: Using CFX 4870's (technically it's a 4870x2 mobility) and 11.2 drivers.

Crossfiring two 5850s and running 11.2 drivers and latest profiles.

edit 1: will try disabling crossfire and trying again

edit 2: disabling crossfire fixes the light flickering issue for me.

grrr. I had a feeling it was going to turn out to be this. The Demo had awesome CFX support. That was actually the ONLY thing I liked about the demo.

Now the actual game is rendered unplayable while Crossfire is enabled. This is pathetic. And since it seems to be across the board, this shows there was no testing done by Crytek on ATI based multigpu solutions. Real smooth.

Is anyone using SLI having the same problem?

Yeah, dual 6950s here, and game looks terrible. Lots of flickering, and even with the brightness at 0, looks like someone's shining an LED light directly into my freaking eyeballs. Abuse HDR much?

Edit: Also have 11.2 catalyst drivers

Anyone feel like rolling back to 10.9 to see if it fixes the problem?

I'll give it a shot, though it will lose the supposed crossfire performance boost from 11.2

Edit: Actually, scratch that. Don't think I can use 10.9 with these cards.

Same here with crossfire on. Bad flickering when going on outside . So Really cant play . But I also agree the demo worked fine. Had some problems with mouse lining up but they fixed that. This is really bad here. (Filckering Lines!!!!)

Same problem. I'm running 2 5770's and the lighting flickers like crazy. Only way to stop it is in window mode or disable crossfire.

I was just gonna say, you all have crossfire don't you?

For now, either window-mode up, or turn off your crossfire. It's a dx9 game, you wont miss it

So we wait how long for this game, only for when it is released to have both Massive problems with Multi-GPU. I mean come on Crytek, your games can only be run WELL on multi-gpu systems, what the hell were you thinking? Also, DirectX9 at launch. Seriously? $60 for this, and here I thought that crytek was one of the only devs left who cared about pc gamers. Well you know what, **** YOU Crytek.

Note: Attempting to run Dual 5770s Crossfire. Bought another card and new power supply specifically for this game. What the hell. You know what? Screw consoles too.

Looks like we're all in this boat. 2x 5970s and constant flicker. No actual image corruption, and framerates are great, as well as MSI Afterburner showing an even load across all 4 GPUs, but the flicker makes it unplayable.

i have the same problem , flickering lighting , making it unplayable ......... and I have 570 gtx in SLI . so maybe not just an ati problem , but multi-gpu problem ... oh and I love the lack of settings , I mean really "high","very high", "extreme" so I cant even isolate what might be causing the flicker

edit , no flicker with SLI disabled

phenom 2 940@ 3.4
570 gtx sli
8gb ddr2
win 7 HP 64bit
266.58 drivers
