Never had any Vampire attacks, I have Dawnguard since the first hour of it's release.
Oh I guess it's because I play Skyrim properly.

I seem to suffer a deficit of vampire attacks in Dawnguard, and I even resorted to downloading When Vampires Attack to make NPCs flee instead of stand and fight [and die]. They have nothing to actually flee from! The only attack was in Windhelm immediately after installing the DLC, and after that, nadda...

Is there even a real proper way to play Skyrim?

Well, yes...

1. Load up Skyrim.
2. Either start a new game or load a save game.
3. ???
4. Either see all NPCs killed by vampires or a dragon, or suffer game-breaking bug
