Crysis 2 isn't coming to PC or PS3. Okay it is, but my point is this forum really makes it seem like Crytek (and EA) completely black balled PC and PS3 users. Sure you don't get to play the multiplayer demo, but it's still being released in March on all platforms simultaneously! Some will say, yeah, but I won't know if it's any good and worth buying. I say that's what game reviews are for! There's no need to fret.

For the record (anyone taking notes?), I'm saying this now, don't let this forum turn into Halo Reach's community forum (I urge you not to click this). There's nothing but complainers, trolls, and flamers over there. Crysis 2 looks like it's going to really shake up the FPS category. Let's build a good community for it here on the forum.

How can a good community be supported when they're dividing it by only allowing some of them to play and only showing that same group what they can expect from the game? On top of that, they continue to show off the same content we've seen since E3. How can we comment positively on the game when all they're showing is the same old content and not even on higher settings?

This, I agree with! I cannot comment on the good when I have not seen a single second, played a single second, or looked at a single pixel of Crysis 2 on the platform I plan to play on. I understand the need to try and stay optimistic, but Crytek and EA are forcing their own hand into this forum becoming a complete disaster of increased tensions, fanboyism, and platform wars.

Okay while I agree with you, all of this will be addressed when the game comes out. Am I right? Once it's out we'll all be talking about our experience with it on our respect platforms.

As for the lack of new content I'd have to disagree because I've seen a good amount from the main Crysis 2 site as well as youtube. I mean yeah the sources aren't official on youtube, but they look legitimate based on what I've seen. I saw far less content from Bungie prior to the release of Halo Reach. If what you mean is there hasn't been new content for PC then I'd say you'll be getting the same thing in the videos they've released and more (considering the graphics and frame rate will be better on PC).

See last post. Also, I think if you have some doubt about the game just wait for reviews. Although I'm beginning to think websites like IGN are paid to give good reviews, I think if you go through a couple reviews from different sites you can gauge a consensus of what the game is like.

Yeah, I forced myself to cancel my pre-order until either a demo comes out for my platform and I enjoy it, or if I see several very good reviews from pc websites that I know aren't paid off.

It is sad though. I have trusted this company for 7 years now to make amazing games and in the last two years they have managed to destroy that faith in a good product.

I would also love to talk about the game and it's qualities. But Crytek responds with:

"No info at this time"
"Any future plans will be announced first on gamesas.com"
"Nothing official has been released yet"
"No details have been announced yet"
"Hopefully!"

"No information I'm afraid!"

It's getting really old. I have a 360, but I don't want to play Crysis 2 on THAT. Especially since it costs money to play online. The game had a chance for a thriving PC community. I guess Crytek didn't know what a good thing was when they had it.

The game is getting a bad PR. But wait till GDC and I doubt you will be angry Frogging.

As Sahdev said, controls are likely going to be the same as the first Crysis. Don't forget PC game controls are pretty much always customizable (more customizable than console games).

We're getting closer to the date and more information is bound to be released. Maybe they pushed for an xbox exclusive demo because PC gamers already know what to expect. I don't know, but either way the game is being released for everyone on the same day! If you want to know how the game is read reviews. We're not that far away from release now.
