A long time ago I did Balimund's fire salt quest. He started selling to me after that. He sold to me for many a transaction. But no longer ....

Now, at any and all times during the day, all he says is I've been a good friend ... but there is no option to buy and sell.

I think I used the 'resurrect' command on him once when a dragon attacted Riften and he died.

What can I do to get hiom to sell again?

If he died, he is no longer in the faction required to sell items. You could simply buy from his apprentice, who is the blacksmith now.

And ... come to think of it ... no one is selling anything at the White Phial anymore since the main proprietor died. The apprentice only walks around and pvssyrs.

Must be some kind of bug here.

At this point, you're game is pretty much ruined. No cure so hope you didn't need them.

Must be a bug, as I fast-travelled to Whiterun once and a couple of Forsworn arrived with me, one of which carved up Adrianne. At first I thought, "oh, well, c'est la vie," but Ulfbear (or whatever) seemed more morose than usual, so some days later I resurrected her. She's working fine, just like old times. I did use "resurrect 1", not sure if that made a difference or not.

You might visit Balimund and open the console, target him, and try a couple of things: resetai, and if that doesn't work, disable followed by enable. On another character, Bersi and his missus died. I resurrected both (I think I brought her back first) and ever since then she handles the business and he's just surly.

Heh, that's how it's set up. She takes over if he's dead. Oh, the irony when Drifa says, "Honestly, Bersi will be the death of me."

I can't find Balimund anymore. And his apprentice ain't selling anything..
