Balmora Remastered? Expansion mod?

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 9:09 pm

I agree here. lol. Though; Unfortunately; I am going to have to reduce keep the size of the city where it is right now; I started working on the Exterior clutter + adding doors and i have only done a small part and notice a small-tiny fragment of a fps drop.

I think it will be fine when I finish though. . .

City-Port of Aherim: (WIP) I got bored so I started to make this. Will be compatible with Tamriel Rebuilt; It's on it's own island.

As you can see I have a LONG way to go before it's done.

Only 65% of the Downtown's size is shown in these screenshots. There will be the Royal-Business section, the housing Section, and Finally the poor section.

Looking great - where is it located (map wise?) - Also thats alot of interiors! lol

Yep. I usually have 15-16 at the most outside anyway. Thanks to MGEXE, MVP 3.0, and a couple others. Now at 5...I get a bit antsy there. Any lower, I can't handle it.
I know the feeling! In one game my seyda neen ran at 6fps! It was dire!

It is located roughly around the locations of the [ Wilderness, -37, 20 to -38 and -39.

As for the interiors, I know .. . . .I love building a world. I hate building interiors. So I'll be building it with grit. hahaha

now that would be something! So judging from the screenshots its going to be a sort of city on water? Or are you planning on adding landmass?

-Also, I noticed one thing: I never see any Cities based around Sotha Sil, only Vivec or Almalexia; This city obviously won't house Sotha, However, it at one point the people of Aherim did follow him strictly over the others, Over time, as Sotha became more distant, religious practice began to fade to only become a scarce practice; Now, the banners and temples, and shrines to Sotha only exist as a ghost of the past. [These things were decidingly not taken down, but kept because of value which they now use for historical displays and studies.

Landmass, I do. You know the Pic of Balmora in my beginning post? This city will have a smaller-layer on the outside of shacks, small-houses, Bull-netch and netty farms, and the Silt-strider ports.

Yes, I played Tribunal. lol. That doesn't count, not really; I know that the Dunmer had worshiped Seht along with Ayem and Vehk, and certain towns will or can be dedicated to certain members of the Tribunal. I've yet to See a town/city dedicated to Sotha Sil. lol

I could I could. :D

Although; If I went Dwemer in this, I'd only do so if I could get my hand on some Undamaged and newly crafted textures and Meshes; To a get a refurbished brand new Dwemer look, mixed in with the Hlaalu. :D

but the Dwemer vanished and thats what started sotha sils craze for them, he didnt "fix their technology" he harvested it - so refurbished dwemer tech wouldnt make sense. Stick with the old :D

Not Tech. Architecture. :D Like refurbished pillars, and walls, and exterior buildings not destroyed; as if it were remade in the Dwemer style.

I disdain Techno styles. xD Unfortunately, I have no texturing Skills. I can 3D model. which you have seen. But not texture yet. Is there any Dwemer Textures out there that make the architecture new looking rather then broken and old?

Hmmmm. . . . I see. lol. Well, I've already started adding some Dwemer stuff. With my Hlaalu retext and the vanilla Dwemer text, it mixes superisingly well, it almost has an alien/persian theme to it, weathered down feel as well.

It's No longer a Balmora expansion, lol, if you have read it recently, it has turned into a new city, with a new landmass. The city is called Aherim. It's got a Hlaalu, Mournhold, Dwemer mix styles to it.

Ah. I have the very old version of it when it is still Balmora with a Vampire-Undercity.

Upon request I uploaded some more pics of my progress; I don't have much done, but what is seen is the beginning of a beach, A small park next to the beach, and outside restaurants, [kinda like the restaurants in France]. This specific surrounding idea consists of: Some Clothing, rug, and Tapestry shops. A fancy Hotel. And a restaurant all surrounding a park. It's still unfinished. I am building this side of town, working my way up to the other-side.
