UPDATE - 10-26-10: By request, I added a campfire, reloading bench, and workbench for the player to use. I also somehow deleted the entire original thread so this is a new one, lol.

Also, by request I added some screenies for you to look at.

Description: Very simple mod that gives the player the option using the school in Goodsprings as an early, functional player home and storage facility. Features include:

-Crafting Campfire

-Reloading Bench

-Workbench

- Lots of safe containers for storage. No new containers were added, and only a locker or two have been reorganized for a little more ease of use. (None of the vanilla containers were set to respawn so none of them were changed.)

- Map marker at the front door.

- Radio added for tunes. (New vegas Radio station)

- Bedroll to sleep on.

- Some of the old desks and chairs have been moved around just a bit to allow for more freedom of movement.

So, as you can see, it's not very elaborate. But it does give the player a functional base of operations that's both convenient and easy to use. The only thing that was added that was not in the vanilla interior was a radio.

Enjoy!

I will put that one in my mod queue. I'm already using the safe in the schoolhouse to store my excess loot. I imagine Easy Pete will be glad to get rid of me as his unwanted houseguest - I've been using his extra double bed to sleep in.

Thanks!

Thanks, no more sleeping in the burnt out trailer behind the store for me!

Just wanted to let you know that I installed the mod and it works great. Thanks!

If you don't mind, I may try to add some more features to it, and use it as a tutorial of sorts to start teaching myself the GECK.

Absolutely! Add to your hearts content. That was something I just threw together real quick like just to get somewhere to store things and heal up. I'm still working with it as well. Let me know what you come up with. Thanks for checking it out everybody.

How complicated would it be to add some crafting stations in the place? A small campfire, reloading bench, work bench, etc.

I know next to nothing about modding.

Thanks - right now the problem's going to be tearing myself away from playing long enough to start getting up to speed on the GECK and start modding! :D

I'm thinking not terribly difficult, which is why I'm looking at this kind of a project as a way to cut my modding teeth, so to speak. :)

Any additions I do to it would probably be along those lines, maybe a refrigerator, a toilet and a sink for RP purposes, a few decorations, etc. I'd probably do something about the lighting in there as well - it's pretty gloomy right now. I just want something that's a real basic player home - I'm not looking to turn the place into a super mansion loaded to the rafters with god armor and weapons.

Thank you I am enjoying this very much. Nice work, and it does not unbalance the game to much which I appreciate very much. :tops:
