Bananasplit better cities causing crash upon game startup

Post » Tue May 08, 2012 4:16 pm

I got a new computer recently so I've been installing oblivion and many mods. loading each mod through the oblivion mod manager and testing it before installing the next mod.
It was going pretty fine until I tried to install the better cities. and when I load oblivion and it shows the bethesda studios/zenimax media, after a few seconds the game stops responding and then I have to alt tab and click close/cancel on the not responding pop up.

when un-ticking the better cities (all 3+the side parts to it) the game runs fine. But i'd really like to know how to fix it.

I've tried it with just oblivion.esm and the better cities and it still crashes upon startup, so its not a problem with other mods.

For future reference, you should ask these things in the http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1331672-relz-bananasplits-better-cities-thread-44/

That being said, I recently had the same problem wtih 5.1.2, is that the version you are using? Reverting to 5.1.1 fixed the problem for me.

Also, load order.

I don't have a link to it. Go over to the thread I linked and maybe Vorians can hook you up, or further troubleshoot your situation.

The best way to find out whether a thread is dead or not is to read it and see the date of the last post. The last post was yesterday morning, so it's not dead :)
