A new release :celebration:

Bananasplit's Better Cities is one of my favorite mods, I could not play without it.
Thank you all for the hard work and commitment that you have put into this beautiful creation. :foodndrink:

I'm afraid I'm getting "unexpected argument errors" from the Omod script.

Explain on which part please...

one other question do the two resource files need to be separate if I'm using OBMM or can the be combined into one OMOD?

If you look at the instructions, you are supposed to download them into the same directory and extract the first to create the original (complete) resources archive. The Nexus page says that they are separate, you need both, and you should read the ReadMe (for installation instructions.)

Create an OMOD from each downloaded file

Do not try to combine the archives together before creating the OMOD,



Edit: Yup, a lot of people are going to have trouble installing this one...

Better Cities.esm causes my game to CTD prior to the main menu every time, I am absolutely sure it is this file, as I have tried loading everything excpet Better Cities, and it works. I have also tried loading just Oblivion.esm and Better Cities.esm, still CTD. The last version works, and the only change between my loadlist in the last six hours is the addition of "Blood & Mud".

The CS reports that "BANChorrolSilverGateScript" has not been compiled.

Edit: Can't see what's wrong with the script, so I don't know if that's it or it's something else. This is odd.

That script is intentionally not compiled. Did you try making a clean save before upgrading?

I get CTDs before the main menu too. However, I'm not sure it's the ESM yet. Have to do some more testing...

Im also getting a CTD after the upgrade. The red "loading" bar advances a bit and then stops.. and after a while CTD. I made a clear save, and the CTD happens if I tick Better Cities Resources.esm, even with all other BBC esps unticked. Installed using BAIN.

I'm about to try that, but this is happening on game-start, I get as far as the Beth flash screen, then lock-up and CTD. I haven't got as far as trying to load a save.

Ah: Looks like it's not just me.

Corrupted archive, perhaps?

ok that seems to be the case for Vorians and I too. So a new version (a working one) will come soon.

After activating my BC plugins, I used OBSE_Loader to start Oblivion.

CTD before main menu.

Then I used the normal Oblivion Launcher.

"The Oblivion Launcher could not find the Oblivion game exectuable. Please reinstall Oblivion."

I turn off the BC Resources master file, turning off all BC plugins in the process.

I can't launch Oblivion with the Launcher, but using OBSE_Loader to open the game works.

So if I convert esm to esp, remove gate from script and convert back to esm it will work?

Can't you wait for us to fix it?
Open TES4Edit, find 1009C5E and remove the reference to the script.
We'll have the fixed update uploaded very soon.

Did it already I'm afraid, :celebration: and I did think to use TES4Edit after posting.

Now to get back to the MQ (seriously, I've been modding solid for over three weeks, I need to play this game every once in a while.

version 4.6.0b fixes the issue and has just been uploaded. Sorry for this but at least it is not the resources files which needed fixes but only the smaller file. ;)
