Hello all,

I have tried to install BC on 3 seperate occasions and everytime the same thing happens.

I am using OBMM and am making 3 seperate OMODs for the resources and master, and still this happens.

I follow the read me, and this still happens, missing meshes, and messed up exteriors of cities, like archers falling out of the sky.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Read the installation instructions more carefully, why are you creating three OMODs?

I didn't know whether posting it in this thread was the best choice, but it's the one that made the most sense to me. Sorry if it's not the right place, and of course, feel free to tell me where it should be.

Anyway, I just noticed that this time (with this install) I seem to be missing some water in the Bathing House (BC IC).

http://img130.imageshack.us/g/201ne.jpg/ are some screenshots. The first is the only truly relevant one, but I thought I'd throw the other two in, just to show that the rest of it seems to be fine, and looking nice as ever. :)

What have I done / not done?

I have/had the same issue with that area too. One day it was fine next with out changing anything as far as I know it was black water. I say had that problem because I don't go in there since it doesn't seem important to me.

Correct, Two.
One for the Cities and one for the resources

Got a problem I had before when using a mod ''guard six'' I had it loading in the wrong place and it caused my IC to sink, what was a while ago and I'm no longer using that but it would seem that another mod or something is causing it to happen again

I haven't added anything (I don't think) so I guess it's a load order problem again, so if someone could tell me what's wrong and what's wrong so I can fix it would be nice :)

EDIT:

BTW it's v4-5-1 and will update to the latest once this is fixed.

EDIT EDIT:

Errmm.....I just saw the message you get in IC Market if it's a load order problem so I started to fiddle and the problem fixes is Better Imperial City.esp loads after the bash patch which I know should not be, so that bit of info hopefully should help to resolve this.

Errmm.....I just saw the message you get in IC Market if it's a load order problem so I started to fiddle and the problem fixes is Better Imperial City.esp loads after the bash patch which I know should not be, so that bit of info hopefully should help to resolve this.

Well not sure you need to load it after the bashed patch but at least after everything else and notably Kvacht Rebuilt. For the rest you need to make sure none of them alters the IC in any way. the easy way to see that is simply to be in any district and check if you have our city map or the regular Cyrodiil Map you are currently using. Out map only covers the IC so it is very easy to see.

Got a problem I had before when using a mod ''guard six'' I had it loading in the wrong place and it caused my IC to sink, what was a while ago and I'm no longer using that but it would seem that another mod or something is causing it to happen again.

Start by running BOSS (Better Oblivion Sorting Software) on your load order (always a good idea that.) And read through the BOSS list for any useful tips/notes.
Better Cities does best run very late in the load order though.

Oh, and take the advice of that printout you gave; deactivating those mods suggested (shouldn't be affecting this I don't think, but still a good idea.)

Updated BOSS and ran it and that done the trick, not sure what could of been different though as it's always BOSS I use to sort my load order abd the only reason Kvatch was that low in the list is because it's been causing me a few problems....but it's sorted now ether way thanks guys :)

We worked hard to make TIE compatible with BBC, OBC and OCC so we sure hope it is still compatible.

As a matter of fact the BC patch for TIE is not really a patch (as for fixing conflict issues) but more taking advantage of a feature only available in TIE aka the warning zones for thievery. What it does is add the same warning zones introduced in TIE in some (only) of the interiors created by BC.

The same thing is done with the patch for COBL which only takes advantage of the scripting for the wells to enable all the wells introduced in BC to be drank of if needed.

No longer some (only), but several now. I added the warning zones to every interior from BC where it was suitable to add them.

hello!... i've been avoiding this for a while now... even expecting a patch to be made espontaously, but... well, it seems that not that much people use "origins of the mages guild".
personally, this is one of my base mods, along with fcom and cobl and a few more.

yes I know what Arthmoor is going to say: that i should be working on a patch for all natural-real lights/thieves arsenal/extinguish lights instead of playing, but it turns out that the interiors of the Arcane University are also touched by these three mods, in adittion to the changes introduced by BetterCities-Arcane University AND origin of the mages guild. so...

i was wondering if there might be a patch planned for Better Cities - Arcane University and Origins of the Mages Guild wich when combined cause an inmediate CTD upon entering the ICTheArcaneUniversity worldspace. (and a fair ammount of other quirknesses when anolyzed from different perspectives, not only this single cell)

Well... as a matter of fact, i did managed to contact him a few years ago regarding Arcane University 300 (remember that one? was abandoned halfway through). well, some friends asked me if i could try to make something out of it so i started working on it. fixed quite a lot of stuff almost barehanded, there was no tes4edit or tes4gecko... just the old buggy CS...well i don't want to bore you to death with that story... the important thing is that when i asked him "what's with this cupboard?" and some stuff about the strange pathgrid in the second floor, he...... i mean, i did ask him nicely, maybe he's the sensitive type, i don't know... i just dropped the whole thing unreleased as there was no way with the current tools i could grasp the whole spectrum of this mod without some advice from it's creator. so... yes i did try. that does'nt mean i do not like his mod, in fact, i think the arcane university, and the mages guild as a whole, is in dire need of a real overhaul, not just a pretty face, but for reasons beyond my comprehension modders have always avoided this and players don't seem to realize how dull the mages guild really is, and how great it could be. i started to notice this with OMG, and has always been eager to find "someone else" that stands out and say, hey, THIS is the mages guild. for this mod i think has already served its purpose of giving us the glimpse we needed. and with the ammount of problems involved with it and it's author, one thing is certain: WE NEED MORE!

The mod author in question is not a desirable topic of conversation here. If you want to speak with him, head over to his private site and register on his forums. Just don't believe anything you read there. For example, it states on his site that Arthmoor (who didn't do what is claimed he did do) is a member of the BC team. Arthmoor is not, and never has been a member of the BC team. He has never been involved and has never made any edits to BC ever.

Up until the latest version of OMG, BC was fully compatible with OMG. I have made tweaks and adjustments in BC to ensure this. However the latest version of OMG will be fully incompatible, so if you wish to use it, do NOT use BC IC Arcane University.

No more talk about him or his mods in this thread now, please :)

Patches are for everyone to make. So please do patch if needed. :)

We do not have any subset. It would be too difficult to maintain the required resources for each part of the mod. You can however only install the Leyawiin City esp.

With regards the crossed out query, did you ensure that the BC IC ESP is loading AFTER OMG? BC IC does have to load after ANY other mod which edits the IC worldspaces. Just moving the ESP might resolve whatever conflicts you saw in the Market District (or not, if OMG actually adds new features to this District too).
I haven't taken a proper look at the latest release or two of OMG yet, but it is indeed the 4th era features of OMG which will conflict without doubt. What I don't know without looking, is whether there are conflicting edits made to the AU which will appear before triggering the 4th era events from OMG. It's quite possible that OMG might be compatible up until you begin that stage of the mod.

You can merge any combination of the BC IC ESPs you want using TES4Gecko, we have range-fixed the Form IDs in each separate ESP to ensure they do not change when merged. If you use the FPS patches for the IC, you will also need to merge the corresponding combination of these ESPs too.
