I was leaving Black Waterside Stables walking west along the main road when I cam upon this tear in the road just passed the stables. To the left by the fence and back towards the castle the land curls up too. Form ID Finder says it's I think (61,21) I'm using Chydinhall falls and had the newest patch for it but ths showed up after I upgraded to the newest BC

Sorry, was just saying I too had noticed it. I don't think a cell reset would work. Did you also update Warcry, though I think I seen it before that. Gonna go check again...

Edit - still floating in all his drunken thumbs up glory. I have removed him using TES4Edit (FormID xx03537B) but hopefully Vorians or Ismelda can solve the problem more elegantly. :foodndrink:

A load order might help because this is probably just that...

Well it is one single skeleton. There is no reason to edit Oblivion Warcry or to make a patch just for it isn't it? Use the console and with the skeleton selected just type Disable. That will definitively ends your problem until your next new game :)

A load order might help because this is probably just that...

Do I still need the Unique landscape patch with the newest BC? if I do do I only need to try deactivating/reactivating the patch or both?

Turn off lock times and re-run BOSS. If BOSS is not updating your LO accordingly, manually move the patch to load after its masters.

Just went for a walk around Anvil harbor and I have to say the pirates don't last long around here. Within minutes of me going through the gate into the harbor there were fights breaking out all over. The end result was four dead pirates within minutes.

I just don't understand that question. Why would you need UL? We support UL by giving patches for them but nowhere did we say you had to have it to run Better Cities.

Now if you could provide a load order we might see what's wrong because Better Cities does not conflict with vanilla (as much as any mod) nor with UL so there is something conflicting there.

What can I say? You have a very bad influence on people :)

Without kidding though that issue should have been fixed long ago. We reduced the level of aggression of the pirates on the bay so they shouldn't fight so much among each other. Still sometimes, they just cut each other throats for no apparent reason. I guess too much rum...

Edit Note: I guess I went back to kidding again :P

Yeah, use the B&M edition if you have blood and mud.
Only use one.

Thanks! I deleted the Better Cities Full.esp and it's corresponding FPS patch. Now I'm back to my happy 11-17 FPS in Bravil!

If you're going to install BC as OMODs, don't also install patches manually. If you're going to install BC manually, don't also install as OMODs, otherwise you get duplication of patches.


With regards your land tear, UL Cheydinhal Falls doesn't touch that side of Cheydinhal, so neither does the BC/UL patch.
BC edits the land height in cell 27,22 but not cell 26,22 - these are the two cells with your tear between them. With just BC, this tear does not exist, so another mod in your load order is editing land height in both these cells, and BC has overridden that mod's edits to cell 27,22, resulting in the land tear.

You now need to either find the mod which is conflicting, or do as Tomlong suggested and use Land Magic to repair the tear.

Edit - In Wrye Bash, highlight Better Cities Full B&M - CUO Leyawiin Patch.esp. The window on the far right will list its six Masters. What is the last one in that list?


Last master in the list for the patch file is "Better Cities Full B&M - CUO Leyawiin Patch.esp" am I right in thinking if this was changed to just "Better Cities Full - B&M Edition.esp" like the other patches it would work?

It's a mistake in the ESP from the download.

My copy is the same so I would guess its a mistake in the archive. Hopefully DIsplay Name or Ismelda will check...

I don't know whether there'll be a 4.6.1c release, or whether this will wait until our next proper version update, but that ESP will NOT work without correcting the final master using Wrye Bash. Sorry about that!

If you're going to install BC as OMODs, don't also install patches manually. If you're going to install BC manually, don't also install as OMODs, otherwise you get duplication of patches.


With regards your land tear, UL Cheydinhal Falls doesn't touch that side of Cheydinhal, so neither does the BC/UL patch.
BC edits the land height in cell 27,22 but not cell 26,22 - these are the two cells with your tear between them. With just BC, this tear does not exist, so another mod in your load order is editing land height in both these cells, and BC has overridden that mod's edits to cell 27,22, resulting in the land tear.

You now need to either find the mod which is conflicting, or do as Tomlong suggested and use Land Magic to repair the tear.

:facepalm: WOW I really messed up this time. I forgot to un install the patches when I upgraded BC. As far as a conflicting mod I guess I'll have to disable one at a time till I figure it out. I didn't think I had a mod changing land height but I guess I do.
