Am using the full version of BBC.
Do I need the pach called Better Cities - VWD of the IC.esp ?

Quite obviously, I'm not an official person, to do with BC. :D

But anyway, what I do is use RAEVWD, but not the IC bits, and use that plugin from BC instead. YMMV. And besides, I could be doing things wrong! Just seems to make sense to me.

But unless you use other VWD stuff, not sure what the point would be; put it that way.

Another question: BBC 4.6.0b comes with 2 pachest for compatibility with Origins of Mages Guild 7.3.
However, these patches are dependent on Better Cities - Arcane University.esp while I play the full version.

Is it possible to release a version of Better Imperial City - OMG.esp and Better Cities - OMG.esp that depend on the full B&M version?

If you want to see the specific VWD from Better Cities yes.
It is not a patch but an addition. We have 4 categories of items in the BC files:
1 - The mod itself (aka the master and the city files merged or not) stored in the folders 00 and 01
2 - The additions (which provide new features to the cities and are stored in 02+ folders)
3 - The replacers (which are to be used in replacement of the original mod and stored is 20+ folders)
4 - The patches (which are dependent to other mods and are stored in 30+ folders)

RAEVWD doesn't use the layout of Better Cities but Vanilla one for the IC. We specifically place the buildings as they are in Better Cities in each district so from a realistic point of view it is awesome, from the FPS point of view it is a killer (yeah kills your FPS :shocking: )

As only the Mages Guild is affected by the issue with OMG, thus, only the IC (full aka Better Imperial City, or single aka Better Cities) is related to the patch. There is no patch for B&M or not B&M version needed. the patches are either for the full version of the Imperial City or only the IC AU district.

thanks for this mod, cities now gives the feeling similar to morrowind cities.. Especially Imperial city.

I mean I can walk into the market place, elevn district, and arena area and wait but I can't do it in the arboretum for some reason. All I see when walking around are deer and rabbits.

I get something similar to this in the Arboretum. I've never tried waiting, but as I wander around the music will sometimes suddenly change to battle music for a second or so, then return to the normal Public music, and there appears to be no apparent reason for this - no threat that I can see.

I was at the arboretum one time and one of the guards ran around to kill a rabbit. You have to watch out for those. They attack when you least expect it. :lol:

I just wanted to post and say this is one of those mods that I can't play without. I had it for a while now and still haven't explored all the nooks and crannies. Today I found the Cheydinhal prison yard. Had to laugh at the khajiit trying to talk rumors with one of the orcs. The orc ended up calling him a furlicker. First time in 4 years I heard that.

Just wanted to say thanks for the great mod.

I really couldn't say whether this relates to BC in any way or not. If an NPC or creature hates the player, but isn't evil, the guards will not attack them. Try using the console to disable each living creature NPC in the District, one at a time, and waiting between each. Once you're allowed to wait, you've found the NPC or creature that's been preventing you. If it's a BC NPC or creature, let us know! (don't save your game after disabling any NPCs or creatures, reload a save after doing this).

I just installed a mod that conflicts only with the Better IC- Arcane university, so since I like the Better IC in general but I don't have any room left for so many esp's I decided to use Tes4Gecko to merge all the Better IC esp's except arcane university into only one esp and replace the better imperial city.esp.

Is this safe to do or are there some things I should know before doing this, like maybe some scripts that could have problems because of this?

This is perfectly safe to do, and we encourage people to merge their own combination to suit the parts of BC they want to use. What was the conflicting mod?

Good to know, and I managed to merge them successfully and everything worked perfectly. But after some testing it seems that the conflicts are not too big and I can play with both Better Citites Arcane University and the other mod - Origin of the Mages Guild 7.3 :)

Hello wonderful people. I've a question. I noticed that in the last update, a patch for Sam Lake's Oblivion Collectible Cards was included. However the patch only fixes a conflict in Cheydinhal. There's another major issue in Chorrol because of a building added by OCC. For that reason, anyone using BC Chorrol is still not able to use OCC. I was wondering if the BC team is currently working on a patch for that, or if there are plans to in the future. I'd recently spoken to Sam and received permission to create a patch for OCC that would allow it to play nicely with BC Chorrol. But I don't want to reinvent the wheel, so if somebody is already working on this, I'll bow out. I really don't care who releases the patch or whether it's included along with BC or along with OCC. As long as I can use both beloved mods together all is good! I just wanted to find out if anyone is already on this so that I don't duplicate effort. Thanks for your time.

Well that was a lot of wasted effort, we do provide a compatibility patch for OMG v7.3! At a certain stage in the OMG quests there will be serious conflicts with BC, but the patch I created resolves all conflicts. Keep BC IC AU, and keep OMG as well :)

@ ChaosPearl: Yes, Ismelda started looking into this additional conflict with Obliv Collectible Cards yesterday. It seems OCC was updated after she created the last patch, adding new conflicts :)

The patch for the version 1.5 of Oblivion Collectible Cards is now available on the Bananasplit's Better Cities (BBC) page on TESNexus, in the optional files.

The House has been moved in front of the Old Prison ensuring compatibility with BBC, CUO Chorrol (patched with Better Cities) and Verona House Bloodlines.

Well we have updated to version 4.6.0b since then and it is where you will find the required patches.
