Just a small thing I noticed. There is a piece of wood missing from the stairs outside of Riverside Housewares in Bravil. http://img705.imageshack.us/img705/2982/screenshot13u.jpg

I bet someone stole it!

As far I can tell from your screenshot, this is a vanilla meshe. Better Cities doesn't have for purpose to fix vanilla meshes. That is more a job for UOP.

So it is the ground going above the planks that is disturbing you???

I read that this is compatible with FCOM, I assume that means its also compatible with just OOO by itself right? Also can I just put it on the folder and enable it in data files without doing any of that wrye bash technical modding stuff?

Yes it is compatible with OOO of course.

You can do as you want without wrye bash but make sure you have the right load order.

Yes it is compatible with OOO of course.

You can do as you want without wrye bash but make sure you have the right load order.


Dunno what a load order is, I just check every box n the data file thingy. Just switched over form 360 so I'm kinda a noob with mods.

You can't use better cities yet then. Learn about load order and the tools to set them right before considering better cities.

Not sure if OOO need any specific load order. Better Cities sure need to be set last on your load order to work correctly.

It is also not an easy mod to install manually. It is really best to use either Oblivion Mod Manager or Wrye Bash BAIN installation for an easy install and they both let you change your load order.

Ok thanks. I'll be sure to download OMOD when I get home and make sure Better Cities is last.

EDIT: Do I have to convert my savegames or anything or is the load order stuff the extent of the technical stuff associated with running this mod with OOO.

You don't have to convert anything and it is not an OOO issue. It is simply the way the mods are. They need to be set in a correct load order to work well together.

Rainman: Use BOSS to sort your load order. Doesn't need Wrye Bash to do that, and BOSS is very very simple to install and use, and you are almost guaranteed to get the correct load order without any thought from you.

I was thinking that the staircase could just be lowered but looking at the object in the CS it looks like the mesh could use some fixing. I'll let the UOP guys know.

I searched for the solution to this problem, but did not find it, so if this has been previously addressed, my apologies.

I found missing ground at the exit to the Imperial City via the Imperial City Arboretum Outer Gate. Everything seems to be okay with my load order, but below are two screens and my mod list. Perhaps I missed something.

You should check your BC install. Banks of Cyrodiil is now integrated so zabankmod.esp should not be used. Also drop ClocksofCyrodiil.esp when using the BC version which should be further up your Load Order.

Might not sort your problem but it should at least fix some others. :foodndrink:

No! Bad advice! "Use BOSS to sort your load order", yes, but "almost guaranteed to get the correct load order without any thought from you", no! After running BOSS you must look at the log file which opens to display the new load order, and check the section titled "Unrecognised mod files: Reorder these by hand using your favourite mod ordering utility." Then do as that section suggests, and reorder any unknown mods by hand, using Wrye Bash or OBMM. And if you think you put them in the right place, post in the BOSS thread here on Beth forums, naming the mod, the ESP names, and which section of the BOSS masterlist you believe they should go into. That all requires plenty of thought from you.

Just blindly running BOSS and assuming it'll magically get it all right is not the way to go.

I'm seeing duplicate doors in Bruma and now Cheydinal. The dupe appears ~10ft in front of the other door, otherwise aligned. Is there anything in my load order that could be causing this?

I'm seeing duplicate doors in Bruma and now Cheydinal. The dupe appears ~10ft in front of the other door, otherwise aligned. Is there anything in my load order that could be causing this?

I used to get this and my workaround was to do a save, exit and then reload. After this, everything seemed to be fine - might be worth a try. Although having said this, does not seem to be happening to me.

Same thing happened to me in Bruma

No! Bad advice! "Use BOSS to sort your load order", yes, but "almost guaranteed to get the correct load order without any thought from you", no! After running BOSS you must look at the log file which opens to display the new load order, and check the section titled "Unrecognised mod files: Reorder these by hand using your favourite mod ordering utility." Then do as that section suggests, and reorder any unknown mods by hand, using Wrye Bash or OBMM. And if you think you put them in the right place, post in the BOSS thread here on Beth forums, naming the mod, the ESP names, and which section of the BOSS masterlist you believe they should go into. That all requires plenty of thought from you.

Just blindly running BOSS and assuming it'll magically get it all right is not the way to go.

But there's the problem. Encouraging people to use BOSS is good, but letting them think that no thought is required is leading them astray. Multiple-mod usage with Oblivion requires time, thought and effort, so it's not good to start off blindly accepting what BOSS does.

That's right, you don't need any resources from the original Bank of Cyrodiil mod, but you do for Clocks of Cyrodiil.
