What exactly is the question?
The music you listen to while playing? Or you want to add the band into the game as NPCs.

No.
Other: A band that's actually good.

lol, what!? are you saying that Aerosmith has absolutely no reason to be in Vvardenfell???

That's crazy talk.

I have firm evidence here that the devs based the neverine character on the adventures of Aerosmith.
We need a champion for Morrowind.
Well, I love Aerosmith...
Yeah, so do I.
Me, too!
Ok, let's base this Naravar characters exploits on Aerosmiths adventures.
Perfect!
It's gold!

I'm a fan of the RatPack! What better place than the Rat in Pot in Ald'Ruhn? " I want to wake up in a city(actually all of Morrowind) that never sleeps..." :intergalactic:

I often wish the inns were lively places, rather than the drudge holes they are. Something akin to Dragon Quest VII, with cheery drunks and uplifting music. Something with a lute, perhaps. Other than that, I've toyed with the idea of adding some celtic tunes, which seem to fit. Enya or Wolfe Tones or something.

um, actualy, i thought of like a build-a-band set, so that you can make a few of your own npc's slap on a script, and you have your own group playing wherever you want them.

also, i have only listed the cd's i have available at the moment. not all of them belong to me. i included the killswitch option for all the metalheads, and i think everyone knows the killers from guitar hero 3 (with the song when you were young). who says aerosmith and dragonforce svck?

also, you can make your own heads if you want. i'm just coming up with the guitar, the animations, drums, ect. so that any race can be a group, that sorta mimics the bands they are acting out. (e.g., have a different microphone for aerosmith songs, ect)

Hey, if you want a 340MB download (hey, who doesn't?), grab my Mournhold Expanded mod. There's a palace in there with a ballroom, and in the ballroom, the band on stage will play 'requests' when you click on them. The 'requests' are labelled 'song 1', 'song 2', etc. - so if you follow the instructions and rename your favourite songs and drop them into the right folder, the band will play Aerosmith or whatever you put in there, whenever you like. :)

(If you want to you can just copy the scripts to make a standalone mod.)

Other. Personally I think something like http://www.last.fm/music/The+Orb/The+Orb%27s+Adventures+Beyond+The+Ultraworld, http://www.last.fm/music/Banco+de+Gaia or http://www.last.fm/music/Vibrasphere would fit perfectly with Morrowind. Something trippy & otherworldly (but also kind of familiar at the same time), which slowly svcks you in & sooner or later ends up taking you some place else entirely... ^_^

This may amaze you, but I've never played guitar hero. Or rockband. I've never heard of the killers, have never listened to Dragonforce.

I prefer the more musical genres of music. :P

This wouldn't be at all difficult to implement.

or semihuman's http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=6236

or Duncan's http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=1463

Not to knock the original ST, its awesome and I own it, but maybe for a change Braveheart, Legends of the Fall, Gladiator, Rob Roy, Troy, Last of the Mohicans,
Lord of the Rings, or The passion of the Christ to name a few of my favorites. Or then again some old school Metallica. And when you turn werewolf in BM you
can play Ozzy's Bark at the Moon.

I wouldn't mind seeing some bands in certain taverns playing music. Does anyone know of any new meshes/animations have instruments in them? This could be fun...

I'm undecided between early "Jethro Tull" or "Disturbed"......

There really needs to be something added to all the taverns, and not just music. In EVERY other RPG, and in TES lore, taverns are where you go to find people to make deals or find work, or to exchange gossip and rumors which might lead to adventures. In the TES games, taverns are someplace you don't bother to go because nothing ever happens there outside of TG assignments, and there's no real "purpose" in having a drink or three, outside of pure RP.

I agree.

As for bands, Evanescence music fits really nicely in Morrowind, at least IMO. :)

I'd like bands in taverns, but not playing any of the music listed.
No electrical instruments or sounds, they're fine for background songs, but if you're actually gonna have NPC's playing this stuff, I wouldn't include anything like that.

Also, who voted for Dragonforce in Morrowind? o.O

My thoughts exactly. Take The Wailing Wench from CoV, for example. That has the perfect usage of music in Morrowind.
I don't understand the desire to have this radio-rock in MW. I play the game to immerse myself in Vvardenfell, not immerse myself in MTV, but good luck to OP with creating it and successfully dodging copyright infringement.

*sighs* the reason i'm using good modren day music is just sort of a fun make-your-own thing. you can have your own rock band without playing guitar hero, and you can make your own mod by replacing the animations, instruments and music tracks. plain and simple. if you dont like it, than dont post stupid coments about MTV and drug referances, and musical trash, to list a few things that i would not like to see later. personaly, i'm just making a mod for entertainment purposes, not realism. if you dont want an unrealistic Vvardenfell? dont download the mod. simple as that.

I don't see my comments as being stupid, and I don't think your idea is stupid. I wasn't being sarcastic when I said 'Good luck.'
No need to get defensive, I think I just missed the initial idea of your mod. I thought you were going to make these bands, and have them play their songs. But it seems like you're making more of an in-game music player, which has been done before, but you're adding the new idea of having NPCs actually "playing" the music that we can pick ourselves. Great!
The poll confused me, because it implies that's not what the mod is about.

Also, "good modern music" is relative. ;)
