Bank

Post » Wed Jul 14, 2010 7:50 am

So you have a chance of having to much item in the Inventory and you can't drop your items Because then you have a chance that it's gonna be taken by someone
You can't just put your items in a Chest or Anything you can place your Items at because then you also have a chance it's gone unless the chest & other things you can place your items at is your own from your house

So then you should have a Bank to Keep your Gold and Items Safe and you can get the Items back anytime you want

So somekind of bank or something else you can keep your items safe and get it back anytime you want

Do you like this idea ???

I do like the idea. wasn't a problem in MW, sometimes was an issue in OB, so it would make sense to have some way for new characters to safeley store items whethor that be a bank or guild storage rooms, etc.

I like the idea of banks, only insofar as, gold you have collected should be in your inventory proper, with a nominal weight, and be droppable, who is going to refuse to pick it up rather than chasing you? When you get to a town, you can exchange coins and gems for promissary notes, universally accepted letters of credit, identical to your gold amount in OB. Forgeable ? Maybe they are issued in collaboration with the Synode, or the chapels. This gives an abstract, simple amount to use at traders, but leaves thousands of coins weighing you down. Maybe they could charge a fee (5%?) for the transaction. Dunno, just an idea, IIRC similar concept in Daggerfall?

Like the idea of banks. Not the idea of banks in skyrim, not in it's current situation. Banks wouldn't be very trusty in a civil war. If one army can get to anothers...

Majora's Mask had a bank feature that I loved so much. I have been surprised ever since at how few games have set up banking features.

Or maybe we could not complicate things and just use given storage in places such as our houses. If you're at a stage where you do have a load of loot too valuable to drop then maybe you should have a house by then.

meh, I hate the idea of weighted gold. just for realism? for weighted currency got to start breaking into denominatiosn of greater worth so that your high level characters are not crippled with gold. since its not likely they will have dropable gold.

Well, considering there's been so much hoopla about being able to do jobs like woodcutting, perhaps this suggests a bit of reality: That one might be well advised to do the 9-to-5 thing until they've got a nice little home (and thus A Place For My Stuff) before trying to strip the land of every decent treasure. ;)

People and Bethesda keep going on about how Skyrim is Backwards and underdeveloped, akin to the Wild west back in time immemorial...........despite the fact that the Province of Skyrim has been around for thousands of years...

so yeah with that particular direction, I kinda doub't anything of that sort would be present in Skyrim
