Does anyone know how to make it so you can't get banned from the casinos? Some way in geck to turn this feature off?

I know there's a mod on NVN that raises the limit to something absurd, but I'm not entirely certain how to turn off the getting banned function. I suspect that the mod I mentioned is the closest you'll get.

EDIT: Found it! http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35135

I'd like to see someone come up with some more creative ways to get unbanned - like bribing someone, or doing somebody a favor, or joining a high roller's club or something. Just some minor to major hassle that pops up if you win too much in a single sitting. Unbanning you after a few weeks though should be pretty easy to do, I think. I'm a bit busy at the moment, but if I get hung up waiting for NVSE I'll take a crack at it.

It looks this ended up being pretty straight forward. I've got something written up that will unban you from any casino after a number of days. I just have to test it, and then add in the menu for adjusting the number of days. A couple of minor issues though. One is that if you're going for the achievement where you get banned from the three major casinos, you have be banned from all three at the same time, so there's a time limit. Another is that it unbans you by resetting your winnings to zero, so it's like you'd never played at that casino before. The casino winnings are only reset for casino(s) you've been banned from. If this ends up being popular, I'll maybe add in some more creative ways to unban you later (like maybe facial reconstruction).

That sounds neat, is it possible to customize betting limits on the various casinos? For example, Ultra-lux has the same low stakes limits as the atomic wrangler. I'd love to see the casinos having different betting limits.

I took a brief look, and don't see any globals, gamesettings, casino data settings, or new script commands that will effect the max bet level. I have a sneaking suspicion that it might be hard coded, since your chip stack always reflects your bet - they'd have to create a model or image of the stack for each possible bet.

If that's the case, I can think of one somewhat convoluted solution. Create a new High Stakes casino data object for each casino, or maybe just one, with its own special high stakes tables and chips. The chips would exchange for at a higher rate, maybe 10 or 100 bottle caps each instead of 1. In fact you might be able to just adjust the exchange rates so that all casino chips were like that - setting it to 5 caps per chip would mean blackjack bets would be between 5 and 100 caps.

I am pretty sure its not hard coded. There are a couple mods that change both the amounts you can win before banning, and how much you can bet. Right now I use, http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34733

Only issue is the max bet size is the same for every casino, and the max winnings before banning is very high. I like your idea of just being banned for a limited time. I also am not a fan of having the same betting limits in every casino. Anyhow I hope the mod I linked is in some way helpful!

edit: I also like your idea of higher chip values!

Thanks, I'll take a look. For now though the http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35618 mod should be compatible with any of the casino overhauls out there (that don't do the same thing).

Well, silly me, I need to check nexus daily, there is http://newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35135

Still not exactly what I am looking for, but pretty darn close. If you can pull off the minimum bet that'd be neat. After-all I find it hard to swallow that the ultralux would allow a 1 cap bet. The only thing casinos are missing at that point are more rewards for winning streaks. Or avenues to spend of your winnings. Rent an ultra nice room with several npcs for companionship? Throw a party for all your companions? Drinks and free sandbox mode for all of them!
