I'm glad you made it to the boat :D hehe
and as you said I'm already working on the compatibility with hunger and sleep mods

What happends have you killed all 6 pirates? and when you entered the boat, did the quest stage update so that will spoke to you? else will the quest bug i've already fixed this but the next update will first be in a while :)

I did it a couple times, so yeah, I killed all the pirates, but what happens is the Captain goes back and stands there, says hi to me but that's it, and Will continues to follow me around and say "No time for blabberin". So I'm not sure if something else is conflicting with the mod or not.

Does it break the mod if Will or the Captain get knocked unconscious?

No, but that is quite an odd bug.

First try to count the amounts of pirates killed, there should be 6 in total 4 on the upper deck (it happens that some of them jumps overboard then you still have to kill them.
second try to wait a little when you are on the boat and killed the pirates, the quest needs update so let 10 seconds pass and if the quest is not updated then somethings wrong

Oay I"ll give it a try again today. I'm pretty sure there were 4 up top, but I could be mistaken. And yeah, I did wait, but anyways, I'll see what happens today.

A little Update

This mod is going to be published in chapters so we're going to release parts of the main quest (may also be other features) as time comes.

I'm almost done making the story to the first chapter and have it all set up in my mind, but before we release then there's a lot of work to do.

For the first chapter i need to make about 7 more islands (to start with, not as detailed as Barbada Island)
One new city
Some dungeons
Interiors
Exteriors
A lot of scripting to improve travel and such
A lot of quests
and much much more

But when the job is done then be prepared to see the first Main Chapter release of the biggest pirate mod, on the net!

Good job Awia. Sorry I haven't had time to test it again, I got wrapped up in a new mod I'm working on. I'll download the new release when it's ready though.

Looking forward to actually getting to Barbada Island ;)

Uninstalled old version, made a clean save, installed new version, and it worked! No CTD, no problems, and I'm finally on Barbada Island! Haven't had much time to check it out yet. It'll be the first thing I do for sure when I load up Oblivion next! Looks good though from what I've seen.

So I've played it a bit. It's nice although I do still get quite the FPS hit in town. I guess yu've just packed a lot into the area, eh? I like the feel of the town, it's very shanty-like, basically what you would expect from a pirate town.

I did run into a problem again though, haha... guess I'm the one who does everything wrong. I saw the sunken ship off in the distance so I went to see what it was. It was the first place I went actually, guess I figured the town wasn't going anywhere. Anyways, I found the chest and took everything. Then I talked to the guy at the Smiling Daedra who gave me the quest to go back there. I went back, but it's still empty, and the quest isn't updating.

haha ;) dear Alesgood's quest, well i made that quest like half a year ago when barbada was a small not serious project. So i think the quest might be a little buggy. You are meant to go there and fetch the sword, for him, but if you take the sword before you get the quest then it won't update untill you pick up the sword again, and i think the sword is a quest item so it's probebly not working. What you can do is to reload a saving before you've took the sword and then play the quest again :D
What do you think of the rest of the area's?

Sounds good, I'll see if I can drop the sword.

I like the look of the area, it's very well done. The stores and homes seem well done. I haven't found much to do yet though, other than Alesgood's quest. Everyone else I've found so far only has generic Rumor dialogues. I didn't except everyone to have custom dialogue though. I'm not sure what to do with the main quest though, as it said I could walk around but maybe I should ask to help. I thought you meant with the two guys I came with, but they don't give me any ideas other than Alesgood's treasure. I assume I'm supposed to talk to someone else, but I haven't found them yet.

I went to the other side of the island and found the shack with a bed though, I thought that was a cool touch. Also the tiny island with the adventurers was nice, although I didn't see any point to why they were there. I assume it's for a quest later though, since it's marked on the map.

Now you've touched the area that i can't give you a good answer too because there is no quest's at the moment on the island (at least not in the published version) I've made a few quests and I'm working on the main quest with Rebel. All the idea's is there but because i suffer of the Vista create dialog problem am i not able to create the quests on my fast computer and my slow XP computer is another place so I'm only able to do quest when I'm on that computer, That decreases the time i have available for making quests to a very small amount.

Remember this is only a beta version but the first Chapter of the main release will be out soon. The first chapter will add a intro quest line to make you learn the city and its inhabitants. It will also add a lot of random dialog to all the npc's and some side quests and jobs.

If you want to then you have the possibility to win the special edition, all it takes for you is to leave a comment of what you think of the mod and a rating above 9 or an endorsemant on Either PlanetElderScrolls or Tesnexus you can read about it in the description. I really hope you will try to do that because I want to know what you think of the new area's

News

Hi there guys, just a small update about how the work is going ;D

I finally found out how to create LOD (distant land ect.) So that imrpoves a lot of things, for now the LOD will only be generated for Anglia Island, Seawings Isle and a new secret big island I'm working on!

Working on the quest progresses at medium speed, the cause of this is that the computer i used to work dialougue on is now very slow and moved to another location so I'm really not able to work on quest's at the moment.
But
I'll soon get a laptop, which will have XP on it so that i finally can work on the quests again :D

I would be glad to get any respons on our mod, so if you have any comment Please write it ;D

I really liked the short and long knifes. Looked sturdy and meant business. Also liked the blue shirt; oblivion needs more coulor in it's ordinary clothing ^_^
