Barber shops?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 11:06 pm

I think it would be nice to have barber shops in major cities where you can change your hair, hair color, and facial hair just in case you decide later on down the line you don't want your certain style anymore or if you just want a change.

Why does it have to be "fable", just because fable had it first? I can imagine those men shave their facial hair now and then, or else they'd be stepping on their beards.

I would like 1 shop where you can do this, but I don't want them in every town like fable or anything.

I agree, I want to change the length of my hair for roleplaying reasons i.e. If I'm starting out doing quests around a town and the immediate surrounding are I want a trim look. When I become powerful and can face living extended amounts of time in the wilderness I want a great big bushy beard and some longish hair. Viking ARRRRRR!

One problem is how will argonians change horn placement, as far as I can tell that is all they can do. Maybe some horn dye or some sort of junk they can place on it. Maybe a bald khajiit!

Is this the new thing? Suggest everything Warcraft has (armoury, barber shops, talent trees, arena), hoping they'll do one of them? You guys disappoint me.

I'd really like it, it at least adds a reason not to 'showracemenu' all the time in order to change what you look like.

Do you complain about everything?

I think it'd be good - just because another game has it, doesn't mean it can't be put in Skyrim. If it would benefit the game in at least some way, then it should be added - regardless of where else it can be seen.

I think facial hair and MAYBE hair changes would be good. But colour? I doubt that.

the bald khajiit comment make me think those creepy hairly cats, then that made me think how creepy a hairless khajiit would be, then that made me think of how cool it would be to see a hairless khajiit called Shiver-Me-Timbers running around the forest naked would be.

Omg that would be hillarious! If the 'foul smelling ape' khajiit was bald...

Meh. Could be good for consoles, or if you can't change your appearance via dev console (I know you could on FO3, but I don't know if it was possible in Oblivion).

No, console users are stuck with the hairdo (complete with ugly face) and no way to customise once you have left the prison. Praise Talos for hoods and helmets. Seeming as Bethesda's Fallout 3 had a few barbers (and facial reconstruction but too far) I don't think it would be too far fetched to include them. Still the issue of race may be decisive in the outcome of their decision. Would be nice to hear some official news regarding this.

As for Lokee's comment, just because WoW did it doesn't mean everyone is taking ideas from it. Don't bother commenting if it bothers you. I've never played nor seen WoW as I,like a few others, am a console gamer, being that we cannot customize the game to our whim it would be nice to add. I want it for RP purposes, being that it is an RPG. Wanting a barber doesn't mean I want some expensive online MMO. I'm pretty sure that no-one was obsessing over that game when they came to the decision of wanting a haircut.
