Bard class

Anyone here ever play as the Bard class? I just recently started a character, Taliesin, who's a Nord Bard, born under the The Lord birth sign. I think its a pretty awesome class, good for roleplaying as a warrior-poet type. Lightly armored fighter with a sword who goes back to the taverns of Cyrodiil and boasts about his adventures as well as several made up heroes  Makes for some good times. Only thing I don't like is that alchemy is a major, but I'd rather play standard classes than make my own so I can overlook it :)

Anyone else diggin this class? :hubbahubba:

I can′t say i care much for most of the standard classes, but the bard i really like! you pretty much described my reasons spot on, so no reason to repeat them here, but yes it′s a fun thing to RP! :foodndrink:

Also, Blind Guardian = Awesomeness!

I have to admit i`m quite intrigued by this type of class in OB also. Will keep this as a possible for my next playthrough, i had already planned on being a merchant but seeing as you have mercantile included in the build, this could be quite fun..

Blind Guardian are neat

Personally I would play a class more like this:

Class: Bard
Specialization: Stealth
Race: Imperial
Stats: Agility, Strength
Birthsign: The Steed
Skills:
Light Armor
Blade
Block
Acrobatics
Restoration
Illusion
Sneak

Would be played as a stealthy warrior with the focus more on warrior. Sort of a general adventurer, with the restoration and illusion being considered 'song's, like moral-boosting tales being healing, or demoralizing songs which could trick enemies and inspire allies with illusion. Combat would be fought with a shield and shortblade of some kind, and the dodge skill from journeyman acrobatics with the high movement speed thanks to the steed would allow the player to dodge an enemy's attacks, all the while buffing themselves or tricking their enemies, taking potshots whilst sining tales of adventurer's triumphing over evil, before heading back to the tavern to sing of their exploits.

Nice build.
You guys have got me curious now about trying this type of character build. The usual warrior/mage/thief types have become a bit stale now.
I think i will start a new game and try the Bard.

A lot of us (me included) go around talking or yelling as we roleplay, are you gonna go around singing then? That's what I would do, if I could sing.

I sing quite often when playing Oblivion and other games, just perhaps not medieval sounding type songs..

Yes, thats a good idea, i shall regale the tavernspeople with smooth melodic tones :violin:
